Question about adding a day to our hotel stay...it may be complicated...

We are splitting our stay Jan 1-4 at the Yacht Club and 4-6 at the AKL...

Now my question is, we would like to add another day to our stay at the Yacht Club, is it possible to add on December 31st?

The problem I see is, the value season starts Jan 1st, so if we add Dec 31st will we get charged peak rate for the whole stay?

The way around the problem is having December 31 as a separate reservation. My understanding is that, if you let them know when you check in, they will try to arrange it so that you do not have to change rooms...though you will have to go to the front desk to "check-in" for the reservation that begins on Jan 1.

The biggest problem might be adding New Years Eve night at any of the WDW resorts. I would call now, if you're even considering it. Do not wait until you arrive..........you might find yourself without a room on property.

As far as adding nights before or after your existing stay, not a problem. Make a separate reservation for those days only (you will probably have to pay for it in full at the time you reserve). Then ask to have it linked to your current res.-you won't have to change rooms but you will have to get a new room key made when your res. changes ie. on the second day. We did this in Oct and it worked without a hitch (we added a day at the end but we also had a day at the beginning of our stay that we did not want UPHP included). So we had three res. Room only, then dreammaker pkg for a week and then another for two room only days-all linked together. Never changed rooms, used two different codes and you can get your key changed anytime throughout the day (or in our case they arranged to drop off a new key between 8-9 am-we did have to be there to sign for it).
