Question about add-on

I live in Floirda but I am moving to AZ this month. So, I am very interested in buying into DVC. The thing is that I do not know how often I plan on coming back. I was going to buy resale and am looking at a contract with 50 points. This way I can come every 2-3 years and stay for 5-7 days in a studio. My question was that if this is not enough points, what is the minimum amount that I can add on through Disney? Thanks

Historically, existing owners can purchase an add-on contract in any amount starting at 25 points on up... (Although DVC financing is only available on 50+ points, and incentives usually start at 100 points)

Now DVC initiated a 100 point minimum for BLT this Jan (which caused a number of add-ons prior to the cut-off date) but had to (temporarily) recind that restriction after owners found out they did not buy enough for the occasionally higher adjusted 2010 points charts..

just mentioning that it is not absolutely guaranteed to add on 25 points at your resort in the future, but chances are you should be OK..
