Does every family receive the exact same things in the box? I'm just curious as to whether a single person receives the same amount of bags as a family. And, if it's not the same, then what does each amount receive?

We are a family of three. Our box included:
- two luggage tags
- drawstring duffle bag
- large tote bag
- 'purse' type bag. (Perfect size for my iPad mini.)

Yup we got two boxes for two ABDs and the contents are the same as yours.

I'll let you know what a single person gets as soon as my box arrives! I expect it will be a couple more weeks...

Unlike previous years when there was a backpack, game case, or something similar for each member of the family, now there is just one of each item, so I imagine that it will be the same for a single person. When you say two luggage tags, do you mean two per person? For 3 people you should have gotten 6 luggage tags.

Are they still arriving about 2-3 weeks before your departures? We are a month out and I am super excited for it :cool1:

We did receive six paper tags. I was referring to the 'leather' ones.

Thread jacking my own thread....

Do you carry your passport with you?

I travel solo and my box for my upcoming ABD had exactly what yours did.

I only carry my passport with me until I get to the hotel and can put it in the safe. However, I always have a paper copy of it with me. The only time I had it with me was for visiting the Vatican. ABD tells you to bring it because they can ask to see it(although they didn't) because the Vatican is considered a different country.

I went on the Italy trip in May and ABD told us to leave the passport in the hotel safe.

As for my box I recieved the same things as the OP the only thing I don't remember is that I don't know if I got one or two luggage tags.

To concur with the others, I was told by my ABD contact:

Junior Adventures also get a drawstring backpack. Each Guest gets a paper luggage tag and each reservation gets 2 leather-looking tags.

Plus a tote bag and drawstring laundry bag and iPad-document case.
Like the others, I leave my passport in the hotel safe unless told otherwise by the Adventure Guides, and carry a color paper copy of it with me.

I guess once your kid turns 12 and has to pay the adult price, he/she doesn't get the JA gift any longer, because we didn't receive a backpack.

Interesting. I wonder what the actual cutoff for Junior Adventurer is. If he qualifies for that, I'd think he should qualify for the drawstring backpack. But what do I know? :confused3

We had two rooms booked for me and children aged 10,12 and 14. We received two boxes, both including the junior adventurers gift.

Hmmm.... DD is 14, and we received the backpack. Our trip is a teen focused week though, so maybe that had something to do with it? :confused3

We have a 6 and an 8 year old and did not receive the Junior Adventurers backpack for either...seems pretty random.

Is the backpack referred to the drawstring backpack? We got that one and our DD is 13.

We have two rooms booked and got two boxes. No JA drawstring backpacks in either. My kids are 9 and 11. Not sure they would use them anyway, but it does seem pretty random who gets them. The rest of what we got matches what others have received.

No backpacks here either for our DDs 11 and 7. We did receive 2 zipper cases that I assume were for iPads or something like that. I assumed they were for the kids because my parents didn't receive them (they are going on the trip too).
