question about abbreviations.

I was wondering if there is a spot on this site that explains some of the abbreviations. I have made out some of them but am not familiar with all of them. Some times I have a hard time reading the posts with all the abbreviations. Maybe I just missed the spot on this site that explains it but if someone could direct me to it I would appreciate it. Thanks.
