Question about A\E line- not about length

My daughter wants to spend however long it takes to meet E/A. She is almost 11. I cannot tell you how much I do not want to stand in a 4-6 hour line for Anything- let alone a meet and greet. Can anyone tell me if the line is something you (meaning me) can exit and then make my way back to her- ... Basically- is it an open roped off line- or does it go thru narrow corridors like the old tinker bell meet and greet at the big tent in toon town? She has been to Disney many times (she could be a tour guide), and she is very mature- so it is not a safety concern. I would just like to meet up with her when she has about a two hour wait instead of 4-6!

And before it is asked- no I won't be in the photo- so I don't consider it saving a space for me in line or line jumping.

Wow that stinks!!

We waited in the 3.5 hour line at Epcot and crazy as it sounds it wasn't horrible because you could move in and out of the line. You could send someone for food, etc.

Wonder what happens if you have to go to the bathroom

Yeah, what happens with bathroom I can tell 3 plus hours most kids will need to go the bathroom.
