We're staying at OKW and have an ADR at GF. I saw the calculators posted but was wondering if they charge an extra fee per person? There are 5 adults 2 kids but we really only need the cab for 2 (my parents) the rest can take the boat/bus but will gladly take a cab if it's not much more. How does this work.

Cab fares are per vehicle, not per person. Taxi vans are plentiful and can carry up to 7 passengers.

Cab fares are per vehicle, not per person . . .

1) They can charge for extra luggage and/or other services.
2) They CANNOT charge you extra for people-count.
. . . if they try, just refuse to pay the extra amount
. . . tell them since you reuse, they should call the police/sheriff *
. . . that usually quiets them

* The MEARS taxis use a meter and are usually reputable. Some of the
"gypsy" cabbies try to pull tricks on guests, like charging for extra people.

I have never been charged for extra people, just make sure that if you are all going to go into the taxi you request a van. It may take a little extra time for a van to come (regular taxis are usually waiting for the bellhop to call them over) so just keep that in mind if you are trying to make an ADR

We took a cab from BWV to the Polynesian for Christmas morning breakfast yesterday. The total fare was $16.80, I think. (Tip not included. We tipped well because it was Christmas and the poor guy had to drive us through the Christmas morning crowd into the MK area.)

Thanks everyone. It's been a long time since I took a cab and wasn't sure how it worked.
