Question about 7 month booking window

Hello everyone! I have a quick question about booking 7 months out. We are planning a late august trip and have our home resort booked for 10 days. We would like to try out a different resort so are looking to switch our reservation on our 7 month booking date. I know I can only book 7 days on that day. My question is what is the best way to add the extra days needed? Can I book a night at a time for the following three days? If I do that will they automatically combine the reservations into one? I'd hate to have to move rooms every day for the last 3 days. Would it be better to call MS and have then do it?

One more question... Is anyone familiar with the bed situation at the Beach Club in a one bedroom villa? I know that they are listed as sleeping 4 but I just noticed that the dvc website says they can accommodate a 5th guest but no extra linens will be provided. Does that mean they added a sleeper chair? We are only a party of 4 but my kids (10 & 13 boy/girl) aren't thrilled about sharing the sleeper sofa.

No bed or linens are provided for the 5th guest if the stated occupancy is 4.

Only those that have a stated occupancy of 5 will have a sleeper chair. The only 1-bedrooms with a sleeper chair at the WDW DVC Resorts are: BLT, AKV (except for Values) and OKW.

You can call at the 7 month mark and then call each day for the next 3 days to have an extra day added. They will take that day off you existing reservation and add to your new reservation.

Assuming you are looking to move to beach club at 7 months, it will probably be very hard to get 7 days at 7 months out. It is a high demand / low inventory resort. You may have to consider a split stay.
