Question about 2 TS credit meals

We are planning on using our TS credits for sit down dinners. We wanted to dine at either Jiko or CA Grill which require 2 TS each. If we do this though, I don't know what we would do for the other night because we'd rather not pay OOP. If anyone has any ideas or suggestions, please let me know. I am anxious to hear how other DISer's make dining at a 2 TS restaurant possible!

Check the snack list, maybe something will suffice as a light lunch-(baked potato, egg roll, chili fries) Then your dinner could be a CS meal.

Eat dinner at a CS place the night you have left.

Skip doing a CS lunch and have an early dinner the night you use your 2 credits.

I can skip meals. This won't work for people who prefer not to skip meals.

There are a few CS restaurants that serve chicken and rib combo. You can eat their for lunch with on CS credit and use another CS credit at another restaurant that has that type like Sunshine Seasons that way you will still have 2 TS credits to combine for such.

We usually do the meal-skip thing too, like if we're having a 2TS for dinner then that day we'll snack through the morning and afternoon, then have the dinner kind of early, like 7pm, and then on another day we'll have 2 sets of CS credits. For example, last spring we did dinner at California Grill on Monday evening. So we ate oatmeal in the hotel room that morning, had pretzels and fruit around lunchtime, shared a funnel cake and lemonade slushy in the afternoon, and were ready to eat dinner at 7:00pm. Then, on Wednesday, we had two counter service meals that day and did not book a TS.

When my mom goes, there is a mandatory afternoon tea at the GF, which is not on the DDP, so it is easier to manage the 2TS thing on those trips.

Sometimes it works out that we arrive later and/or leave earlier, so we just use a CS for dinner on the first night and have the TS left because we don't have time to use it on departure day - so the 2TS fits right into that as well.

If none of these will work, we go oop for the Plaza at MK - it's very reasonable and has long been a family favorite. The cost of dinner here, especially since we usually won't order dessert/app like on the DDP, is much less than any other TS, or less than paying for half of the meal at a 2TS oop.

HTH!

I can make a meal out of the chili cheese fries at Pecos Bills:cool1: followed by one of those rainbow pops. and top that with a hand fulll of goofy candy!!:woohoo:

That is what I call fuel for fun!!:dance3:

My wife has other opinions..

You sound an awful lot like some of my frequent travel partners - one in particular who considers it no problem whatsoever to make a meal of a couple of beers and a pile of whatever cheese-covered, powdered-sugar, deep-fried thingamajigs he can find. :rotfl:

At MK he usually subs lemon slushy for the beer, and we are not yet sure which is worse - the alcohol version or the sugar-buzz version :scared:
