Question about 11 months in advance booking

Hey there! My wife and I plan to rent DVC points for our next trip and we have a question about the 11-month window for Home resorts.

Is that 11 months from the day of check-in, or just 11 months prior to the overall trip?

Basically: If we plan on checking in the XX of September, do we have to wait until the XX of October to book, or can we begin booking on Nov. 1?

Also, if you want to reserve beginning xx in Sep, you can do so on xx in Oct (not Nov). If you book exactly 11 months out from date of arrival, you can book no more than 7 nights (if you want more, you can add them one at time daily starting the day after you first reserve).
