Quest & Ticket Question - URGENT

I have an urgent question that I need an answer to today since I'm heading to MK this evening.

I brought with me my DH's ticket that has a few days still left on it. He is not here with me. If I bring it into the park, will I be able to use it at VMK Central to turn in an extra quest? I have my own AP that I will use for myself.

My biggest concern (fear) is..... if they scan his ticket, will a day be taken off that pass? Remember, that ticket did not go through the turnstile, he is not even here with me. I just don't want to use it for a quest and then find out that he now has one day less left on that pass. Ouch!

You can use his ticket... and no days are taken off of it.

Note though you can't use it for an extra FastPass. On my last trip I learned that the ticket has to be used at the gate in order for FastPass to work that day. Thought I would be smart using my DW's ticket to get an extra for Soarin while she was back at the hotel, but I was sadly mistaken.

I've never had a problem using the APs of family members who aren't there that day while I'm at Disneyland, but I've heard that they can be more strict about it at WDW (meaning that you have to have all people with you at VMK central to get all the cards...depending on the CM).

It is my understanding, depending on the CM, that the ticket does not even need to have a day left on it to be used.....so you should be fine.

Actually there is a temporary fast pass ticket you can get at the gate if you were going in to get fast passes for your group without scanning their ticket. You just have to tell then at the turnstiles. It is only good for fast passes and it expires that same day.

I did it last October we had a down day and I went into the MK to get fast passes for the evening.

So now that our plans have changed and we'll probably just spend the extra few bucks to get 6 days without hopping rather than 3 days with, I have two kids old hopper tickets I won't use this trip. If I decide to risk losing them (big risk ) and bring them along, I could essentially turn in 7 quest sheets for my family of 5 with no questions/hassles? I don't want to do anything that's going to cause a scene or risk dishonesty, especially in front of kids. My nerves/guilt would ruin any fun I was having if I'm not supposed to do it, even as I'm back home making trades.

This is correct. You will need 7 copies of the HSM quest (some take it from you, some don't), 7 stamped ThrillSeekers Quests, 1 tomorrowland quest for the group, 1 Fantasyland/Frontierland/Adventureland quest for the group.

Also any pdfs you've won can be redeemed as well.

I'm not sure I completely understand what you're saying. Did you pay for those extra tickets at one point or another? If you did, you shouldn't feel guilty at all about using them to get VMK items. You're entitled to them with the paid ticket.

Everyone should be ok as far as this situation goes. Just don't try to use it for an extra FastPass, it won't work.

caribbound- you should be able to get all 7 Quest sheets turned in without any problem. You've got 7 tickets, and you should be able to turn in 7 Quest pages in exchange for VMK reward cards.
