Every year I get my DDs now 10 and 13 picture taken. Usually it is in front of a Christmas tree or something similar.
The last couple of years have gotten harder and harder to find them something to wear.
We used to get matching dresses -now I just look for something in the same color.
DD13 needs a ladies 2 or 4 or a juniors 3/4 or maybe 5/6.
Younger one likes sparkle and patterns older one likes plain.
Anyway -any thoughts?
Stores you like? Styles?
We want to look festive -but not so dressy that they can't wear it to church.

I have three girls who vary in age from 18 to 7, and it's nearly impossible to find something that "matches" unless it's made from scratch.

Having said that, I can always go at Christmastime and find black, burgundy, red, or green velvet-type dresses that are similar in appearance at different stores.

If you stick with the major department stores like Dillard's, Macy's, Belk, or something along that line, you should be successful in finding something that fits their personal style and still looks similar.

Also, you can usually find something festive at Old Navy that doesn't bust the budget.

Thanks Rafiki
The older ones get dresses?
I have thought about a velvet skirt or something

I used to take them out for a dressy outfit AND a casual one at Christmas every year because I wanted my photos to look right, lol.

One year we got my oldest daughter black pants and a dressy red blouse while the other two wore red dresses.

My girls aren't really opposed to dresses, though...while some girls really don't like them.

The Children's Place online already has their Christmas line available. I would recommend starting with the younger one's outfit and then trying to find something to suit the older one. The older ones usually want to pick something out on their own, and setting boundaries (like color and general style) helps her make a good decision that isn't much of a compromise for you.

I'd probably go with the more casual look for the card.

Red sweaters and black pants, maybe?
