Ques about ME luggage stickers

Do I simply loop them around the luggage handle, much like a name tag? There are 4 of us and it appears as though we received 8 stickers. Does that sound correct?

First time going, as you can tell. Thanks in advance.

Yep, absolutely right. You'll need one for each piece of checked luggage, so they give you enough for 2 per person.

Also put some sort of ID tag on each piece of luggage. One of ours accidentally got left behind at the Polynesian and was overnighted to us.

(One more hint: I tied bright bandannas to each handle. It made it a whole lot easier to ID our blue suitcases at JFK)
