Query re DCL Motor Coach?

I have a query. I am scheduled to depart The Animal Kingdom Lodge on Aug 30 2007, from here I need to get to Port Canaveral for our 3 night cruise. I know I can get a DCL Motorcoach from a Disney resort but I know when returning it only takes you back to a Disney resort or the airport.

I am needing to get to The Crowne Plaza at Universal where I will stay for 4 days.

Do you think it's possible to get the DCL transfers from Disney Resort to Disney Resort, then hop on the I-trolley up to The Crowne Plaza?

I have got a great quote with DCL motorcoach transfers and I don't want to lose them, but if it's difficult to get to The Crowne Plaza I may have to. The other option is I take the motor coach to the airport and go to The Crowne Plaza from there. I don't know Orlando at all, so I don't know the distances between all these places.

Which sounds better to everyone?

Thanks

The easiest thing is to book a one way towncar from the Port to your hotel. I guess you could take the DCL bus to MCO then take a Mears bus to your hotel but that may add 2-3 hours to your trip. You may wait 30-60 minutes for Mears to fill a bus/van and then you may be one of the last stops.

Best bet I think is to complete the normal DCL transportation ending up at the airport, and handle the trip to the Universal resort separately for example on Mears.

You can get DCL ground transportation for all parts of a land-sea or a sea-land Disney cruise. But you are doing a land-sea-land and even if the second land is at a Disney resort, you need to make special arrangements for the third transfer, port to second resort. You can inquire about an extra cost DCL transfer but since you are not staying at a Disney resort for land #2, this leg will not be under the auspices of DME. You would probably find it cumbersome to go from Disney resort to Universal resort by I-ride or Lynx anyway.

Two passengers Mears is going to cost around $32 for one way tranportation from MCO to your hotel. I think DCL charges around $60 for two passengers from the Port to MCO. One way towncar from the Port should be less than $150 with tip.

You may have to wait 30-60 minutes for Mears to fill a bus and then wait for many stops before you get to your resort. Renting a car isn't an option, I'd price a few of the towncar companies.
