I got back from work last saturday night, and was tickling my tabby girl Queenie, when I felt a lump under one of her nipples (yes I had to look:rolleyes1 ) took her to the vet on monday and he said it was a mammery tumour and needed to be taken out, which was very :scared1:  which would be bad as 80& are malignant and it speads fast. Took her to the vets on friday for the operation to remove it and went to bed (it was after my second and last night shift of the week, its my weekend off :woohoo: ) woke up and rang to see if she had survived the operation and was told that she was well and I could pick her up straight away (once I was dressed I don't think they wanted to see me in my micky nightshirt :scared1: ) when I asked how much the operation was (she wasn't insured and after 2 operations in a year I doubt I would get insurance for her now plus she is 5) I was put on hold but the vet took over the call and told me that when they ahd gone to do a biopsy on the "mass" (it looks like they removed the entire chain of mammery glands on one side) it squirted fluid so it was only a nice little begnin cyst. I feel like I have won the lottery with that one, my little angel puss the grumpy old moo of the house (she was wearing one of these collers on her neck, got the dammed thing of though) got home sniffed the dogs nose and then stuck every one of the claws on one paw in the dogs nose!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Our pets(and children)have us worried sick don't they?.
I am so glad your story had a happy ending and Queenie is fine.Poor dog though. It amazes me how they get them collars off :confused3 .
My Mummy cat, after being spayed thought it was a great idea to get the collar off and chew all her stitches out, leaving her bleeding like there was no tomorrow. She was fine by the way+they sewed her back up again-she did'nt do it again though.x.
