Good morning
I had such a fantastic Sunday. God gave me the extra blessing of a surprise visit and time to work with my dear friend and therapist. By His grace, I continue to make wonderful progress. This morning, I will be advocating for the complete care I need longer term.
Dad's visit as always meant so much and extra yesterday because it was so reassuring to see he was okay. That was something horrible that did happen yesterday. Reminder to please be aware of your surroundings and do not do what my dad did and put yourself in the unsafe situation of being alone with someone who may not be at a healthy place in life.
What happened above? Dad, first of all, is fine. Please don't be concerned. Ralphs offers home or for me facility delivery through Boost. An Instacart worker is who fulfills the order and delivers it.
Dad was counting on the delivery person yesterday morning bringing two cases of Aquafina inside our apartment yesterday for him which is the main reason he pays for Boost! Our delivery instructions are fir the shopper (who is also the delivery person) to text when they arrive at dad's apartment building and to ring the doorbell so dad can let them in to bring ordered items onto our waiting card table just inside our apartment.
The Instacart driver yesterday did not communicate beyond the automated by the Instacart system, "your shopper is in the store." Delivery windows are within a two hour period. Dad had not heard any updates from Boost with only ten minutes to go so he opened our front door to discover the cases of water and everything else were left. Then he made a huge safety mistake! Do not ever do this friends, please!
Dad could see from the top of our stairs someone getting into a car out front. He called out asking if the man was from Boost. Instead of a normal answer, the response of the worker was to come charging up to my dad, get in his face, and start going off on him! My beloved dad was threatened and told he must be on drugs, etc. Boost never brings orders inside someone's apartment (they do all the time). The guy wanted on about cocaine all the while recording this interaction on his phone. Dad should have immediately gone inside and locked the door! Thank God, nothing beyond this happened but as you can imagine, my dad was sure shaken up!
Dad did call Boost Customer Service. They credited his Ralph's account and promised the driver would never be assigned to him again. Yikes. How horrible. Be careful dear friends, please! Extra safety prayers for my dad appreciated.
I will check back in later.
