Quarantine and chill and kindness chatty clubhouse: Jump in and join the conversation! All is welcome!

Good morning dear friends. Dear Lynn the little duck is so cute, Pooh and Piglet, of course, are cheerful, too. Thank you, my friend. Prayers that you stay cozy today!

God Bless Ellie dear Snowysmom. I found solace and fun in books early on too.

Dear Bobbi and Dear Pea, extra healing prayers to you both. I would love to attend a healing Mass. Several times last year I had healing touch conversations and time by phone with my friend Pastor Louise. I appreciated our calls do much. I have a feeling a similar experience in person would be very powerful and comforting indeed.

Welcome, Logitexum! :)

Sunday joy to all. I look forward to online worship and seeing my dear dad later. I will check in this afternoon.

Good evening slipping thread save with a hug to each of dear you. It is lovely and quiet in my room, such a blessing.

I have a huge favor to ask of any of you with Word. I would PM or email you a square Father's Day image that I would need copy/pasted into Word and emailed back to me as a Word attachment. I can PM details. I would need this by mid week. Thank you my Quacker family.

Sweet drrams with love.

Good morning. It is 57 here now with temps only heading to the mid 60s. It is cloudy again and rain coming in later today and tomorrow. The forecast for cruise embarkation on Saturday is rain and 62. I will be wearing jeans for sure. I won't need shorts on the trip as projected temps are only around 70 at the highest. Jeff is kindly taking us into the port. He has no idea what he is getting into there! It is a zoo. Luckily the way Holland America does disembarkation involves kicking the passengers off the ship early to get them out of the port early and then asking passengers coming in not to be at the port until 10:30 at the earliest. I hope this eases congestion. I am a bit anxious about all of this.

Off to work. Busy week getting ready to take a week off. Have a good day.

Good morning. Currently the sun is out, but there's a chance of rain and storms. It poured all day yesterday. I've never seen as much rain as we've had lately, it's crazy.

The grass squishes when you walk on it, it's so saturated. Supposed to get to 81 today, and hopefully it won't rain. No rain in sight until next weekend. It looks like every weekend may get rained out.

I have a huge Cypress tree out in the farthest back corner of my yard, it was 3 feet tall when we bought it. It's so tall now I can only see the top if I'm in the house. But some of it's branches are hanging over the little portico behind the old shed, and I have to duck under them to mow, so I just trimmed a whole bunch of them back. Waiting for the guy behind me to get those hedges cut down. It's weird. The lady bought the house a month ago. I've seen someone there on and off since then, and she was there 1 whole day 2 weeks ago, but doesn't actually seem to be living there.

I'm glad that I put all of my pots of flowers under cover and hung a tarp over the 3 big pots of tomato's, or everything would be rotting from the rain.

Have a good day

I had a problem with one of my tomato pots last big rain, but it's coming back. The other 4 have good drainage so they just grabbed what water they could use. Meanwhile I'm waiting for neighbor to have time to help me put a couple of holes in the pot.

And my big potted flowers, I made a mess there but it's all good now.

Son moved into his house end of May. I'm still tired from that but still doing my job going over as much as they want. Can't really say no and mostly I just sit and keep one or both kids safe. It's the drive that beats me up. Traffic is no joke.

Son was on his way to buy a lawn mower and 3 houses away there was a push mower sitting by somebody's mail box. he knocked on their door and they said it was a freebie. (I'm curious why but son was just happy not curious!)

It's a Troy built Briggs and Stratton engine so almost indestructible for a push mower. Put a tank of gas in it and off it went. That's about a $400- $500 savings to buy new as I just priced them out and prices have skyrocketed. I told him about maintenance but he didn't want to hear at the moment as he's overwhelmed. I have the rider and push so I'm into keeping them running. For me I want one click with the key and one pull to start otherwise it's going to hurt my arm or annoy me.

Judique I hope your son and family enjoy their new home. You are right about the traffic. It does get to you after a few trips.

Pea and Dazed Thinking of you.

Taz Hope your Dad is making progress and your Mom is taking some time to rest.

Good morning. It is another dreary rainy day here with the temp at 55 now and going to the upper 60s. I was able to walk at the lake yesterday as it was just cloudy. I saw a very colorful Oriole fly out of the bushes near me. Such a beautiful bird. Sometimes I see the most lovely birds there that I don't see elsewhere. I remember the great blue heron I saw. Tonight there is a condo meeting. I am not looking forward to going. Some people just keep going on and on about one thing that affects them and won't let go. I understand having issues but talk directly with the trustees about your issue at another time. Then you have those who want to be confrontational. They need to understand the trustees are doing this on their own time and it is a learning process for them and for us. Be kind to all. It takes me time to wind down after one of these meetings. Oh well, only 4 times a year!

Have a good day.

Good morning! It’s another cloudy day. Our cucumber and zucchini seeds have germinated, so, all the crops we hope for are growing. We buy tomato and pepper plants.

Yesterday our house was cleaned as a gift to me. It was from my sister as a “Get well” gift, and they will come two more times, about a month apart. We’ll have most rooms painted in August. Then Tom and I will decide if we want to continue with the housekeeping service. I think we will. They did an excellent job and there are things I just can’t do.

I feel so much better. Today we will be going to the St Vincent de Paul meeting!

I wish everyone a good day!

Good morning and welcome to a day with no chance of rain. The sun was out yesterday and dried everything out. I finished mowing the lawn and was putting the mowers away when out of nowhere, down came the rain again. It rained on and off until about 7 pm. I went to bed and fell asleep and around 2, was woken by a huge crash of thunder and lightening that was so close I thought it hit something. I looked out and it was pouring so hard that you couldn't see across the street. Forecast until Saturday is mid to upper 80's and then rain for the weekend. One neighbor was outside mowing in the pouring rain and the moron next door was weedwacking during the downpour after dinner. I just don't get it, lol

I just put the flowers back out in the sun to dry and took the tarps off the tomato plants and the big herb planter. It had knocked all of my peony flowers to the ground during the last few storms, so I cut back all of the flowers. Barely had time to enjoy them before they got ruined.

Got my money back from paypal on that ebay item, and left the seller much deserved negative feedback. Ebay says if they leave me negative, to call and they will remove it. I don't think the seller will dare. The pkg was never shipped and the seller never responded to me, Ebay, or Paypal. I also reported them to Pampered Chef as demonstrators aren't allowed to sell PC items on Ebay. PC responded that they are taking appropriate action against her.

@bobbiwoz That was an awesome gift from your sister!

Have a good day everyone

Just hug dear Snowysmom and thank you for always being kind to all!

Dear Bobbi, hug and what a lovely gift from your sister. You please take care and feel better indeed.

Dear Lynn, hooray that you were refunded. Yikes about the storm. I am just so gtateful you are okay, hug.

Extra hug to Dazed and Pea. Also thinking of our friends Frog and Kirby.

Good morning everyone. I was so blessed to enjoy a wonderful night sleep. I shall do my daily exercises and look forward to seeing my dad at lunchtime. Tuesday hug to all.

Good morning. Another dreary and rainy day here.

Dad is doing OK. We are waiting to here when and where he will go to rehab. Mom put in a request for where she would like him to go but of course it will depend on availability and the insurance approval. He should only be there up to a month as insurance rarely authorizes more than that and then it will be outpatient PT. They have already reached out to mom to confirm that. Thankfully mom is recharging herself a bit. She still needs to be with dad everyday but at least she can get some sleep at night. I have been trying to get her to go to Lancaster but she always refused. We are going Friday. We can go there early and then she can visit dad when we get home.

The basement is getting nearer completion. Most of the electrical is done. I even have a motion sensor lights and security camera out front now. The shelving units from IKEA are built, my daughter and granddaughters did them yesterday. The appliances get delivered today. Jay and his friends are taking a break this weekend for Fathers Day. Next weekend we get the last dumpster and get rid of all the construction trash and are clearing out my two spare rooms. The weekend of the 28th will be another break and a barbecue to celebrate the new basement. It's also my mom's birthday so we will have a cake for her too. The furniture, couch and entertainment center should be delivered right before the barbecue so we should be set. I need to get a TV down there yet. After the 28th we move on to the storage area where Jay will be building shelving. I could have bought metal shelving units but he wants something that will hold up better. Then we have a few small things out front that can get done and then new cement work on the driveway and the front lawn is getting cemented over. I get nothing but prickly weeds. I saved a long time for this and spent a little more than planned but I am so happy to have the work done and even prouder that my grandson did the work.

While we built the shelves yesterday my grandson kept watch on the cat outside. I have a neighbor who lets there cat roam all day and night, rain or snow, cold or hot, that poor baby is always out there. My grandkids put out some food and Pikachu just ate up the attention from Mikey. I have been tempted to call ACCT, our version of animal control, but I just can't bring myself to do it. We just put some food and water out for her as do a few other neighbors. Jim would love to bring her in but i have 3 cats and I don't think it would work plus Chewie is afraid of her.

I can't get finished pics of the basement yet but here is the almost finished bathroom. It still needs the towel bars attached to the walls

Hope you all have a great day

It's so nice you are able to be helpful to them, it sure can take a while to get settled once you move house!
I feel so much better. Today we will be going to the St Vincent de Paul meeting!
Glad to read this. Waving hello from my side of the Bay!
One neighbor was outside mowing in the pouring rain and the moron next door was weedwacking during the downpour after dinner. I just don't get it, lol
HA! been there, done that! Sometimes we have to mow in the rain when we get in a rainy set like recently when - combined w/ schedules and weather we just gotta get it done when we can. Right now our yard area is soooo overgrown, I swear it's been raining for forever or so it seems.
I shall do my daily exercises and look forward to seeing my dad at lunchtime. Tuesday hug to all.
Glad to read you are keeping up with your exercises and progressing well! How goes your flooring project? Won't it be nice to be able to walk in on those new floors!
Dad is doing OK. We are waiting to here when and where he will go to rehab.
I hope he gets into the place that he & your Mother are requesting!

Hi everyone. Hope all is well. Been trying to read & catch up, but this AM only went a page up. Keeping busy, dodging raindrops and waiting for summer to peek her head out from the clouds! It does seem that every weekend for the last several weeks has been cooler & rainy. Waiting for some summer sun & heat.

Not much new to report. Baby watch 2025 is officially at T-minus 3 weeks and counting. I'm having 2 MOHS surgeries later this summer - both on my head. Modern Medicine is awesome and I'm glad I have the ability to get these two relatively simple day procedures taken care of in-office at my dermo. I had a different, more invasive skin cancer removal procedure done several years ago so I like to keep on top of these things.

Pea - Thinking of you and hoping you are having a good week.

Have a good week everyone!

EasyAs Good to hear from you. Baby watch is exciting.

Taz Your renovations look lovely. Glad you Dad is improving and I hope he gets to go to the rehab your family prefers.

Good morning. It is 56 here now with temps heading to near 80. The sun is out so that is nice. We had a condo meeting last night. Interesting but nothing really crazy going on. They are still pursuing legal issues with the builder to get some of our money back. He is a shady character still. I am now trying to decide whether to install a water softener or not. We have well water and it is just over the line into hard water when I use a test strip. I talked with a woman across the street and she had one installed. Many people here have. We talked about the issues with pipes and appliance lines getting the mineral build up. My issue is the salt. I don't know how much gets into the water I would use. I am not good at making decisions like this. It would help keep appliances longer and less plumbing issues down the road from what I have read. I will put this decision on hold until after the cruise.

Have a nice day.

Good sunny morning. Another nice day on tap. Will be 84 today, 90 tomorrow.

Heading out to do errands before the heat starts to build up.

Have a good day.
