@Judique I researched what the time frame was from exposure to symptoms and the average was 3.5 days, but that could also vary. (As a general rule for illness, though, I’ve found that time frame to be pretty accurate over the years, like with my kids getting sick.) I felt a tickle in my throat, then the next day got a headache. (Which is also how Covid started for me the first time I got it.) The day after that, the headache intensified and I felt really off, like I just wanted to lay down, so I tested. I was a little surprised it was positive since I don’t get sick very often. DD and I shared a bed on the second half of our trip and she has been testing negative. I think if you stay separated as much as you can (even across a room and maybe let fresh air in every now and then), don’t share a bathroom if possible and she and/or you can wear a mask, you might be ok if she does have something. I hope so.
Glad to hear Tom is doing well, Bobbi, and that you’re feeling better. I am, too, but still not great.
We wound up having leftover spaghetti and meatballs last night and they were good. Tonight we’ll do the lemon Greek chicken. We also bought some new olive oil, the kind DH’s Italian grandmother always used (with a big can of it) because I’m not sure if some other oil I bought made it taste funny last time, too. Will have to try that oil out with something else once I get my taste fully back. I’d seen some thing on Instagram about how to buy olive oil, so I bought a different kind than usual. Maybe I’m overthinking it but that last lemon chicken we made had a funny taste, lol. Hopefully it’s good tonight.
I have a lot to do and little energy to do it. I did do my Christmas shopping yesterday, all on
Amazon. (Sent my family some things as my SIL-to-be freaked out hearing I had Covid and won’t go to a gathering we’d planned because she’s having surgery right before Christmas and doesn’t want to catch it, so we’ll postpone.) DH’s family decided to do a Yankee Swap after all. I’d previously bought a whole bunch of nice jars of chocolate coated peanuts to put in nice clear wrapping and let everyone take one, but now we’ll do the swap, too. DH also wanted to get some Scottish scarfs with their name and family crest on them for DS and all the nephews with that name, as one is the one who lost his Dad this past fall. He’d gotten three, one for his brother and nephew and DS, but he was able to order a few more. I also got this nephew a book I wanted him to read so we’ll give him those. And I ordered some nice English teas for the hostess.
Wishing everyone a nice Wednesday.
