Hi dazed. The first thing that comes out at me is that you’ve stopped crying, at least some of the time. I’m glad!Good Morning,
sitting here, trying to convince myself to run to town and do a little grocery shopping. Tomorrow a friend and I are going to visit another friend about five hours away for a few days. Our friend has stage 3 anal cancer and the treatment has been horrendous. I’m not sure I am up for the trip but I committed to it, so I will go.
My sister, who lost her husband a month before Kris passed, made an “interesting suggestion” to me the other day. So I should say, we get along, but she has always pretty much ignored me or belittled me through the last 60 plus
years. Well, she thought it would be a good idea to buy a duplex together. WTH…. I understand she is grieving but even I know that would be a recipe for disaster. I love her but need to maintain some distance. I know I need to sell our home and move, but I can’t think about that right now.
My other sister has been trying very hard to keep me busy. We have been going through the family photo slides. Thinking about digitizing some, anyone have any tips? I don’t think our kids have much interest. There are hundreds of them spanning 3 generations.
Well, I guess I should do the shopping and throw a bag together for our road trip. Everything seems like to much effort and too many memories to undertake.![]()
Oh no! Sending good vibes to all of you and hoping at least some of you don’t get sick!Welp, my HR gal has it.
Hasn't felt 100% , took 2 tests earlier in the week. Went home mid-day yesterday feeling like hell warmed over, took another test this AM - positive.
Had to go around and let everyone in the office know they've been exposed as HR gal is, shall we say, a bit of a talker and frequently makes her rounds during the day chit chatting w/ folks. We've had a positive here and there over the past year in the office and jobsite, but have lucked out not to have a full fledged 'situation' where several folks got sick.
Not gonna lie, I'm a bit fatigued by it all. I guess a lot of folks feel that way. Oh well, all we can do is solider on, take precautions and keep on keeping on.
I keep mine on a little table inside my house and when I leave I put it in my right side pocket of my jeans. It works just fine within a few feet so don't have to take it out. At first I was carrying and putting it in the slots for stuff next to my seat but soon learned my door won't lock with the key inside when I would forget to pick it up. Putting it in my bag is a no go as I lose things in there. She keeps taking the remote thing and puts it near the steering column before she remembers, lol.
Hey - you did what you could do and still got it, it happens. It's happened to many of us, hope your experience with it is mild and not lingering. Here's hoping. DH is double vaxxed and triple boosted and...guess it didn't really take (thanks immunosuppresscents). I'm only double vaxxed/double boosted. DD#1 and SoIL#1 are testing + (again...this is their 3rd bout); DD#2/SoIL#2/DS and all the grandkids are neg, so far.
Is that a bathroom themed restaurant?
It was an teriyaki/hibachi place. Weird, right?
I've been taking Mucinex, to just keep things moving out. DH is only supposed to take Coricidrin, because of HBP; but if the Mucinex can help get him cleared up, then he'll probably take it for a few days. I'll go get him some saline spray from Walgreens in a little bit; thanks for the help!@lynxstch Mine has the push button start, too. I was totally lost when I first got in and tried to turn it on, the sales guy had to show me how (foot has to be depressing brake), and even then it was sometimes a head scratcher. I wasn’t used to it. Now, I like it. If I leave my car somewhere they always seem to know what to do, so I guess it must be more common now. The thing I really like is that my door unlocks when I come up to the car when my key is on me. A weird thing with the rental was that we had to lock it on the outside (door handle) or it wouldn’t lock. Maybe it’s a safety so if you hit the button by accident but didn’t mean to? Idk. Maybe I would’ve figured out more had we had more time with it. I did think it was a nice car. (Sonata. Was very low to the ground, though.) Mine won’t lock if the keys are in the car, which comes in handy when I’m out w the dogs or even shopping and it gets a little chaotic.
B&B So sorry you’ve got the ‘vid. That’s how we felt, too, in October. Had avoided it for so long, even being in the Covid ICUs. This variant is super contagious. I know your husband is post transplant so that’s a concern. On the last shift I worked my patient was post heart transplant with Covid and was doing ok. Sick, but ok. They had changed over some of his meds to IV to be sure he got them all, since he’d been vomiting for a couple of days. Hopefully your husband doesn’t get that sick. If you get that gummy mucous in your head the thing that helps is the Arm and Hammer Extra Strength Saline Spray twice a day along with Mucinex to help break it up. I am still really amazed none of us got sick during or after our trip last month.
That truck looks nice.out in the new truck
I assume Christiana. Try Penney's and Macy's. And Chico's at the Fashion Center. Good luck.heading back out to the mall this weekend.
Welcome back! And you are not obligated to catch up.I will work on catching up on everyone's news for the last two weeks
I am sorry to hear that. The appointment with my attorney did not go so great.
I hope you have mild cases. We managed to avoid it until our trip to WDW.We tested + last night.
ME! All I want is chicken fingers. And no vegetables. This is so not like me. I forgot what I used to fix for dinners. Just bought fish today so I could make something else.Anyone else in meal hell?
Jack's car does too. And he has Adaptive Cruise Control. I rarely drive his car except on long trips. It freaks me out when the car starts slowing down by itself. We have the push button start,
Lynn So sorry about Summer and her continuing health issues. Can she find a better medical center where they can look at her test results and maybe help her find answers? I know alot of areas do not have the benefit of multiple medical centers. It just sounds like alot of tests and problems but no real answers as to what they can do to help her. She must be so frustrated and tired of it all.
How was the show? I haven't watched it yet, can't decide if I want to devote to watching all 3 showsI also watched all three hours of the NCIS cross over event. It was long and I was glad I recorded it to fast forward and take breaks.
@lynxstch Does Summer have a good primary care physician? With a good working relationship? That’s the person who drives the bus when it comes to complex issues of care. That should be the person coordinating everything and piecing it all together. I know things can get very complicated when different body systems are having problems because it means seeing so many different people. (I hear these stories all the time.) Often it’s one person (or practice) who finally pulls it all together. It’s unfortunate because people get frustrated and things can then go south. It’s overwhelming to have to live with so many medical appts and feel like you’re not getting anywhere. I hope she can find someone to help.
