Quarantine and chill and kindness chatty clubhouse: Jump in and join the conversation! All is welcome!

Good morning. Today will be our last really warm day, as in 78. High of 59 tomorrow, and by next week it will be in the 40's and 50's , yikes! But Indian Summer it was nice while it lasted. I may go outside and put up the Christmas lights on the front porch next week before it gets too cold. Won't turn them on till Dec 1'st, but I hate trying to get them up when it's freezing outside.

Summer should be in her kidney surgery right now. Her Mom is supposed to text me and let me know what is going on

When Don talked to both the boys (he still calls them boys, even though they are in their mid to upper 40's lol), I asked him what was new with them. He said nothing. Last night he says to me 'do you need the boys to do anything when they come up'? I had no clue what he was talking about. Turns out they are driving up tomorrow night and then leaving on Wednesday, heading to the west of us for something. It will be nice to see them, even if it's only for a little while.

I didn't sleep well at all last night, it was after 4 when I finally stopped looking at the clock , woke up at 7:30. The time change has me all off kilter, will take me a week to get used to it again. No normal chores have to be done, so will try to get a couple more things crossed off my spring cleaning list.

Have a good one!

Happy Monday!

Need some prayers. Bailey went in to early labor, she's 32 weeks, they're at the hospital now. She just got her epidural. I'm a little nervous, I know 32 weeks is too early. Her last office visit, the baby was weighing about 2 lbs.

I'm trying to work to keep my mind from thinking the worst scenarios but I keep making mistakes. I should take an early lunch and go walk. I was supposed to meet a friend at the gym but I cancelled.

That's about it, I'll keep you updated.

Good morning.

Just skimming because I spend less time at the computer these days, especially when it is so nice out.

Meeting DD Sarah and Tessa for lunch. Tessa has a dentist appt this morning and then I'll watch her while Sarah has one this afternoon. No school today and tomorrow.

it’s just hard.
 That is a lot to deal with.
Bailey went in to early labor, she's 32 weeks,
Prayers for Bailey, her baby, and the doctors and nurses. NICUs are excellent places and I am optimistic the baby will pull through.

On to my day.

They're doing better and better with the little impatient ones nowadays! Try not to worry (even though it's hard.) :grouphug:

🙏:grouphug:extra indeed Footballmouse for Bailey and Lynn for Summer!

Darker, fine misty Monday morning here. Dad is headed to do :laundy:in a few minutes we pray before it does 🌧️Tomorrow is really supposed to be stormy so he will stay home which is always an extra blessing. We got a surprise mail delivery yesterday afternoon. All caught up on missing mail except for one card from a friend in TX mailed over a month ago. Informed Delivery does show Houston mail today so maybe that will be it at last. Have a good Monday, friends. Please stay warm and dry!:grouphug:

I will check back later🌸

Luke (stepson) just called. His Mother called him and asked him to call us. The Dr's couldn't get far enough up inside Summer to blast whatever it was away. They had to put in 2 stents to dilate everything and then go back and have it all done again in about 2 weeks. Apparently she was hysterical when she woke up and heard all of that,,they had to sedate her and put her back to sleep to calm her down. When she wakes up again , they will let her go home :(

:grouphug: @dazedx3 we're here to listen when you need it.

@footballmouse prayers for Bailey, the baby and you. Keep us posted.

@lynxstch prayers for Summer too. That's rough.

Just wanted to pop on and say hi...we have a stupid water leak in our master bath. Since the shower is completely tiled DH has to go through the wall in the family room behind our TV to check it out. Our TV is giant so he needed a friend to help him move that and the TV stand yesterday to check to see if it was something he could fix. Well when everything was moved we could tell water had seeped under our laminate wood floors. Ugh...so we called the insurance because we're probably going to have to replace some drywall and for sure the floors since the wood is warped under where the TV stand goes. What a pain. Ugh....this house has had too many leaks so DH is worried it might be time we need the plumbing redone.

I need to catch up. Hugs and prayers for all who need them.

I have been fighting a cough since I came home. Every time I think it's improving it gets worse again. I think it's a combination of factors including weather.

I have just been feeling very negative lately. Jim is doing better but he has 2 more surgeries scheduled after the holidays. I know they are supposed to be easy, cataracts, but nothing is ever easy with him so I worry.

Wyatt's football team seems to be heading to the championship. We are all amazed by that. If he wins they go to Miami for nationals. Of course he's at urgent care because he hurt his knee Saturday so I am at Ben's wrestling practice.

Ella's volleyball team is now in first place. She's excited. She was also hot in the face 3 times today by a spiked ball. Waiting to hear how she is.

Add to my stress my external hard drive with ALL of my pictures, about 120,000 is toast. I did find a company not far from me that may be able to retrieve them but the cost is $300 to $1,000. My brother says that's not a bad price for what has to be done. At least my computer is working again. It doesn't like updates.

The Phillies lost but they did more than I expected so I'm happy. A few moves and the new season will start before we know it. For a team that barely made the playoffs, I'm happy.

I'll hopefully get caught up soon.

Good morning. Cool morning here, 46 with temps going into the 50s.

Prayers for all who need them. Thinking of Bailey and the baby.

I am supposed to bring the cake I made to Jeff's house today. Last night he texted to say he may be getting the stomach bug Luke had. I hope I can at least drop off the cake. It will be a tough day today as it is Chris' birthday.

Off for my walk soon and then work. I will be ignoring the news today and probably for several days to come. Too much nastiness and negativity on all sides. I try not to watch much anyway, just enough to figure out what is going on. Hallmark movies and comedies will work better.

Have a good day.

I "liked" your post to agree with you about avoiding the news, but I'm sorry Jeff isn't feeling well.

I will be thinking of you on this tough day.

Many prayers for Bailey and baby.
Snowysmom….prayers for you today, I know how difficult this day will be for you.
Lynn….Prayers for Summer and belated Happy Birthday to Don. Hope you were able to sleep better last night.
AuntieMe3…. I hope you get the leak fixed without too much hassle and expense.

Snowysmom

I have a tele health appt at 9am so I have to get ready for that (a second cup of coffee being highest priority!).

DD is voting on her way home from work this morning, and DH, DS and I will go later. It should be an interesting day. (I like all that.)

I had to turn the AC back on on Sunday night it was so hot in the house, we were all sweating. Said “screw the electric bill” (even though I sent in $1000 last month). Can’t open the bedroom windows due to allergies and asthma here. Weather is better today, more like fall.

Hope everyone is doing ok. 🐥
