Quarantine and chill and kindness chatty clubhouse: Jump in and join the conversation! All is welcome!

Good morning all.

Congratulations to all of your family on the new addition @Bianca and Bernard! Beautiful little boy, welcome to the DIS Prince Hunter!

Supposed to only be 79 or 80 today, feels a little more Fall like, considering Fall starts on Wednesday!

Slept well, from 5 am till 7:20, sheesh. The rest of the nite I would sleep for 45 min, then wake up and just lay there for an hour or so trying to fall back asleep. Repeat, repeat, repeat. No plans for the day except to plan a couple of cat naps, lol!

Have a nice Sunday morning everyone!

Good to see you Owlpost.

Great pictures, Pea, love the landscape with flower photo. Thank you for sharing :)

Lynn, of course we are concerned about you! We all care :grouphug: You just continue to feel better, please.

All-around very good news, Kirby! So glad you and your DH and other family got together and enjoyed some tasty food. Prayers continued for your DD, the little boy, and, of course, all the other kiddos, too!
Thank you!

Good Sunday morning :flower1:

At work again today so missing out on the nice weather outside. Kinda down in the dumps this weekend, we should have left for WDW yesterday. All I keep thinking about is what I would be doing now if I was on vacation. Cancelled the trip because ds2 decided he was going to be a responsible adult and move out :(, just wishing he would have done it after our vacation.

Hopefully everyone has a much more exciting day than I'll be having.

:grouphug: and huge congratulations, Grandma B&B! Praise God and welcome to the world, Hunter! He is precious. Thankful and excited for you all, my friend🌸

🌼Footballmouse and a hug, too. I'm sorry you're having a hard weekend. Proud of your DS though. It does sound like perhaps he could have made his choice/plans final after your planned vacation.

Another very cool morning here. Looking forward to watching worship soon. Will check back later. Have a good Sunday, everyone :)

DD#1 had her baby today! Had to have a c-section, as the little one got stuck.

:lovestruc Congratulations on your families new addition.

Lazy morning with DH before he had to hit the road again tonight. DD and I are doing the Oogie Boogie Halloween party at California Adventure on Tuesday. We're excited.

Picture from last night as we waited for the fireworks. It was such a beautiful night...

B&B Beautiful grandbaby. Congrats to all.

pea-n-me Thanks for the great pictures. We will be at the food and wine festival in Nov and I am taking notes on the food! LOL! First time for us to this event so looking forward to it.

Today has been a quiet day with errands and housework. It is the first weekend in quite a while in which I have not logged into work to try to get ahead for the week. I have decided that I need to destress with it all and just not give them free time as much as I have been. It feels good.

The kids and grandkids are relaxing at home this weekend. Everyone is tired from back to school, day care, and younger DS started a new job. We talked with older DS and kids on Friday. We asked younger DGS how he was feeling and he said, I puked. Then he said it again. He just started day care so we think he picked up a stomach virus. He was feeling better later in the day and was eating OK.

Happy Sunday.

May you and your DH have a wonderful and fun time at DL, AuntieMe3 ::MickeyMo

:hug:Snowysmom, quiet days are lovely especially when you have been working so hard! I hope your DGS is truly all better by now! I always got sick soon after starting a new school year as a teacher. Loved seeing the kiddos again not catching their germs!

I thoroughly enjoyed online worship this morning and have also had a quiet Sunday :)

Hugs to all!

Slept on and off most of the afternoon, as did Mr L. So won't be surprised if neither of us sleep well tonite. He has also had a headache, which he hasn't had in about 2 months. Watching football, waiting for the Emmy's (tivo'ing it), and made a Bertolli Chicken Carbonara frozen meal for dinner. It wasn't bad, it wasn't great, but it was food, and probably the most I have eaten in 2 days.

Have a nice evening all

Hi friends. We got home Friday night but I have been catching up on grocery shopping, laundry, etc. Finally got back here. I will try to at least skim the last 9 pages I missed but will probably not comment too much.

We had a great trip. Wednesday night we stayed in RI and had dinner with a couple I met on the Riddle Thread here many years ago. Thursday was the rehearsal dinner, which was nice. We all got to Maine with still no sitter for the kids. After a lot of scrambling, DD hired a Nanny through a service the hotel where the wedding was being held recommended. Miss Connie was qualified and we felt safe leaving the kids with her, but boy, expensive. The wedding was beautiful and we all had a nice time. A lot of drinking happened. I may eventually get some pictures posted. The VRBO was great and worked well for the 8 of us.

After we all left York, DH and I headed north, First stop was the flagship store of LLBean, where we did some shopping. Then on to Bar Harbor. We stayed in an independent motel that was very nice. Not fancy but we would go back. Did some of the easier hikes in Acadia, drove to the top of Cadillac mountain twice, once at sunset. It was surprisingly crowded which limited the hikes we had planned as parking was an issue. Had 3 nice seafood dinners.

Then on to Boston. The next day we used the T to get around and walked the entire Freedom Trail. Took the T back into downtown for a late lunch at Beantown Pub. Also drove to some of the spots on the Presidents Trail to see some birth places. Then Friday we hit the road from Boston to home. It was a nice trip all around and we did a lot in 9 days. Except for 2 driving days, we had beautiful weather.

Saw a comment about ice cream. Our favorite is Turkey Hill or from UDCreamery.

QOTD for Friday 9/10: Who are some of your favorite Disney characters? Pumba and Timon, Lady and the Tramp.

Got through about 5 pages. Too tired and ready to go to bed. Will catch up more tomorrow.

Glad you had a good time in New England! I love the LLBean store! You were missed here.

Good morning all. Even though Fall isn't for 2 days, our weather feels like it's changed already. 60 degrees out, going to low 70's. They say Friday night will be 44 degrees..brrrr...

OT girl called last nite,,she will be here at 10:30 for his last OT appt..she was glad to hear we got signed papers from Ortho stating what he could and could not do. Matt from PT will be here at 2:30..right when I planned to take a nap. Bad sleep again last nite. Slept from 10-11:30 and then dozed on and off..then slept from 4-7, which is pretty much when hubby slept too

Have a nice Monday!

Good Monday Morning :sunny:

Weather is going to be nice this week so I opened the windows to get some fresh air though the house.

Breezy_Carol it sounds like you had a nice trip, beautiful places to see I'm sure.

AuntieMe3, have fun at DL tomorrow! I'm hoping to make it out there next November with my kids. We want to see Las Vegas since my youngest will be 21 next year so I figured if we're going to Vegas, we're driving down to DL. Fingers crossed this trip happens for us.

Working from home today . On Labor Day, we were talking about birthday treats that I would make for the kids to take to school. Ds2's girlfriend said that she never had cupcakes made in ice cream cones. My boys were a little shocked b/c that was a go-to for us when making cupcakes. So this morning I made cupcakes in the cones for all of them. Now the trick is getting it to them. Transporting them will not be easy!

Making chicken and stuffing in the crockpot tonight, I'll get that started in a couple of hours. We have been eating around 5:00, I usually get home from work at 4:00 so by the time I get dinner going and everything, it's about 5:00. I think I'm going to start pushing that to 6:00. I want to go back to fasting from 7 pm-7 am so I'd rather eat dinner a little later.

Nothing much else going on today. Looking forward to this week for TV shows starting back up. NCIS starts tonight and my all time favorite Survivor starts Wednesday. I'm so excited!!!!! Little things make me happy :jumping3:.

Hope everyone has a good day! :butterfly

These days we all need to remember the little things that make us happy, no matter how small they are! I am looking forward to Survivor also, along with Ordinary Joe, LaBrea and the NCIS trio. Hubby will miss NCIS NO, but maybe the new Hawaii one will be good!

Hope everyone has a good day! :butterfly

Did you use the pointy cones? You can get a block of styrofoam from a craft shop, poke it with holes, and cover with plastic wrap (so no foam gets on the cones) and put the cones in it.

If they are the flat kind, I have no idea. Maybe one of those ice cream trays that some ice cream shops have, to transport the cones?

I use the cake cones. I'm going to run up to the Dollar store and see if they have some kind of small box that I can set them in.

lynxstch here's the recipe:
4 thawed chicken breasts
6 oz. package of Stove Top stuffing mix
½ cup sour cream
1 can of cream of chicken soup
Chicken on the bottom, stuffing over chicken, soup and sour cream on top.
Cover and cook for 4 hours on low.
