Taz Beautiful picture of the rainbow. A good sign for you. Happy Birthday to Jim.

Bobbiwoz Have a great trip. Sounds like fun.

@flyingdumbo127 It is nice that you are continuing your walks and making progress.

Good morning. It is a cool breezy day so far. Temps are supposed to stay in the 60s which is nice. I have been to get flowers for Jeff and Aimee for their anniversary that was Friday. I walked around the complex. I will be heading out to Jeff's house in a bit. Yesterday I made a pot of pasta fagioli which I will be dinner for the week. I am trying to eat a bit better and so cooking more from scratch. Next weekend I am looking at making egg noodles with grilled chicken, peppers, broccoli, onion, and mushroom. That will get me at least 3 meals. Cooking for one each night is tough but if I cook on the weekend for the week it is easier.

On the medicare front, I have not had to sign up for part B yet as I am working full time and still covered by my employer's plan. That is why in January I am signing up for Part B, and once accepted and all is good, I will get a supplement plan that the advisor told me would be the best for me. Then I can opt out of my employer plan for May 1 and then think about a date to retire if I still decide to for 2025. I hope to be able to find enough to do to be able to retire. Right now working keeps me busy. I need to think about a good retirement celebration trip too. :flower1:

Have a good day.

Good morning, all 🙂

It felt a tiny bit "fallish" out when I walked the cats. It was nice! (I'd open the windows, but DH's allergies are bugging him lately.)

DS went to Six Flags Oktoberfest with some friends yesterday. He said it was a lot of fun! 🎢 🍺 🍂

I did a new walking video this morning and need to get a few chores done before heading over to my in-laws' house for a visit .

Read somewhere on the internet that Costco had a GoPro Hero 11 bundle in store for $99. Got dressed and decided I was going to the local Costco to see if they had it. Store doesn't open til 10 so I was lounging around a bit.

Meanwhile I'm still opening email and I see 75% off on Lowes outdoor furniture.

I don't need any outdoor furniture. Period.

Ordered a small, cheap sectional. It was $212 after discount from $848 and then another 5% off for using Lowes card. Free shipping. So $213ish after tax.

Impulse buy, but if I don't want it when it arrives I'll return it at my local store. I think I can do that. I didn't even check.

Older DD would probably take it for her back deck. It would fit there. Ahhh, now I can justify my impulse buying!

Meanwhile, I can always stash it away in my barn til next year if not returning.

here, I don't put patio furniture under cover until mid November as the Gazebo and furniture covers work well until then.

Forget the GoPro. I'd need to learn what it's all about.

Good morning. It is 50 here now with temps going to the low 70s. Nice weather. I had a nice time with Jeff and family. I always play games with them and played a new one yesterday which was fun. I did some walking yesterday too to get in my steps. I have salt therapy today. I am looking forward to relaxing and mediating for 45 minutes.

Off to work. Have a good day.

Good morning dear friends:grouphug:Happy Monday with love to each of you always. Snowysmom, enjoy the low 70's. That sounds lovely. Still 100 here. Cooler starting tomorrow. Dad and I are sure extra blessed to have a home and one with air conditioners.

Yesterday's sermon reminded me of all of you. It focused on God's love for all His children and life. Thank each of you always for spreading kind faith and joy.

Have a wonderful day, everyone. I will check back later.

Good morning. It was a chilly 43 degrees earlier. Places to the east of us had frost warnings, way too early for that. I closed the windows last night and still needed the extra blanket on the bed. Going to be about 75 or so today.

Once it warms up a bit outside, I think I'll get the pressure washer out and get at least the deck done, if not the house too.

Have a nice Monday

Just after 4pm here wave and hug. Dad and I both rested this afternoon. We're very grateful to have just gotten 3 cases of Aquafina from Ralphs via Boost/Instacart. It's much easier for him to have the heavy cases delivered right to us and brought inside. We're blessed to be able to do this.

Have a good evening friends💕

Good morning. Temps heading into the 70s again. It is supposed to warm up later this week into the 80s. Not a fan. Tonight I have a condo meeting where we are electing trustees. I was surprised only 3 people are running and they are not the people I expected. I know one of the candidates and think she will be a good trustee. The other 2 I am interested in hearing from. It is not a job I would want so I appreciate there are those are want to do it.

Off to work. Have a good day.

Good Tuesday morning, friends. Well said dear Snowysmom on the trustee job. I wouldn't want that role either. Thank you for supporting and giving feedback to those who do.

It's supposed to be cooler here today. Dad has a morning doctor appointment. I pray he rests this afternoon and will stay home tomorrow. I will walk outside again shortly and like yesterday go a little further. Step by step by the grace of God go I.

Have a good day everyone🐣💛

Good morning. Sunny and 80 today. I hope it doesn't go back to being warmer than that, I'm enjoying this weather too much.
I power washed the house and the deck yesterday. Then I put 2 coats of water seal on the deck. Looks so nice again.

Today is going to be cleaning out the fridge from top to bottom, gathering trash, and making a grocery list. The cooler weather has had me feeling like cooking a little more. I made meatloaf the other night, and I'm going to make the chicken 'cobbler' recipe I got off of FB again. It was so good, and I need to use up the rotisserie chicken in the fridge

Have a nice Tuesday

Good morning. It is 50 here now with temps heading to the mid 70s. Tomorrow it is supposed to get into the 80s. The meeting last night was interesting. The 3 running for trustee got elected. Next up is taking over from the builder. It will be an adventure in watching the HOA take over and get everything due from the builder. My neighbor and I talked with a woman who moved in a couple of months ago. She brought up at the meeting that her punch list is not being worked on. We laughed knowing that they are trying to stop working on those issues. The condo mgmt person who is unprofessional at best, did not know how to answer the woman, and told everyone with issues to email her. Her email box will be full. Picking up the kids at the bus today.

Have a good day.

Happy early Thursday thread save. Dad, I pray, is finally going to stay home today. He needs to get more rest. God willing I will take a dash longer walk this morning. Vivian is scheduled to come two weeks from today. I'm working hard to have made more progress by then. Mercy of God, I'm getting there. I do keep a favorite Scripture from 2 Corinthians 12:9. I pray to be of good and faithful spirit no matter what. I absolutely believe God's strength is made perfect in weakness. Every moment truly is a blessing.

Hugs to all. I will check back in later.

Happy Thursday!:groom:

Been in the high 80's around here for the past couple of days. I was going to try to stick it out and keep my AC off but that didn't happen 🥵. Broke down and turned in on Tuesday. Still no rain. My "grass" in the front yard actually crunched yesterday when I walked across it.😦

Mitchell stopped over yesterday and cleaned my vent out for the dryer. He had to pop the vent cover off from the outside of the house so now I need to buy a new one.

Got my haircut yesterday. Also had to take Remy to the vet yesterday morning. I noticed she had a few patches of bald spots on her neck, chest, and top of her head. The vet gave her a shot. She needed her ears cleaned out and her nails cut so they did that while she was there. Hopefully the medicine works. Still have the foster dog. I changed his name to Buster. Evan said he looks just like Buster, Andy's dog from Toy Story. He was absolutely right. Everytime I look at the dog I picture different things that Buster did in the movie.

That's it for me, have a great day!

Going for a haircut as I'm going to OC for a few days. Got an afternoon appt to get the person who cut it last. Usually I just walk in but they've gotten busier.

The grands and DD and DD's girl friend from forever will be coming to the beach also. The pools are still open and the girls love those more than the beach. It will be a girl's trip.

Today will be a bit busy as I have to tidy up the grass also since the clippings get picked up before my return. Unfortunately mine isn't crunchy but green and growing too fast. I sort of enjoyed summer when everything was dry and crunchy.

I've been checking out new cars. Looked at the Pilot and the CRV hybrid. Liked both, except for the price tags. That's just the start, as I make car buying a journey unless I see something that 'speaks to me'. Stole that from you, @Snowysmom ! It really does describe how I buy cars. The one I have is fine, low mileage for a 2017 - 52K and nothing wrong with it. I just feel like another. I buy new or slightly used. I don't mind a few miles on it if all else is good.

The Pilot was nice but they don't have hybrids. I don't want all electric as I don't want the plug in driving to Disney or anywhere out of range.

Just got a call that the stylist is 'out' today. Got rebooked for this morning. Off I go!

God Bless Buster dear Footballmouse:dogdance:Thank you for giving him a loving home.

Such a cute:dumbo:picture dear Lynn.

I'm glad you were able to get a 💇‍♀️dear Judique. God willing, sometime this year, I will, too. May you indeed find a :car:that works well for you. Way back in the summer of 2016 was when I got my current car. Keep in mind I had been driving my beloved late grandma's 1990 Corolla. That car had become unsafe to really drive, plus it was going to need a smog check, and didn't have working AC. Dad and I went to different dealerships, and I remember all of the current cars felt so big, high up, and harder to see out of the rearview mirror because of backseat headrests. I kept the process in prayer and just knew immediately I felt comfortable with my Nissan Versa. Check into whether any dealerships offer a free Amazon or Target gift card for taking a test drive, dad and I got a couple of them 8 years ago and I think one when dad got his car in 2019. Keep the process in prayer and trust your instinct, you'll know. I look forward to hearing what car you choose.

We had a very early morning earthquake that I felt lying down in my chair. Dad didn't feel it working in the kitchen. Thank God we are perfectly fine and it didn't last. I Googled to learn it was 4.7 and about an hour+ away from us. Prayers all will be quiet now! Have a great evening friends.

@llyingdumbo127 Glad the earthquake was not a bad one. It is true when looking at cars that you will know the one when you find it. I knew my outback was the one. It spoke to me. :)

Good morning. Another warm day in the 80s today. I was in the office yesterday. I can back to the condo and ended up breaking a crown when I took a gummie supplement. I guess it was ready to go as it just broke off into the gummie. And I usually don't use gummies but that is all they had at the time. I called the dentist immediately and go in Monday. The good news is it is the last tooth in the back so it is easy to avoid, I was not away at the time such as in Bermuda so I could call for an appt, and it does not hurt unless I get really cold or really hot there but I am using a straw for drinks. I am hoping they can just replace it with no muss or fuss. Today I am having lunch with my really good friend.

Yesterday I was again the only one for grief group. She did say they are stopping some groups and the one in my town is one of them. She will be there next month and that is it. She does have a private practice and does zoom. She did mention that she is in other towns around the area but the times do not work for me. I asked about her private practice and she is very reasonable cost wise. She said she could try to come by once a month and meet with me if it fits her new schedule. That way I would not have to pay as it would be part of her work. I told her either way works for me. She is the best counselor I have found.

Have a good day. Off to work.
