Man, I should know the answer to this, but my brain is too full trying to remember all the stuff I need to do before Turkey Day.

So, how many packs of coffee do they leave in the studios? We're not doing the grocery stop in January and I really didn't want to pack food stuff. I know we can just grab some at the quick service or anywhere in the parks if we need to, but I really like having at least 1 cup in the room. I'm thinking they leave 1 regular and 1 decaf to start.

Thanks everyone!

Have a great Thanksgiving!

All units, no matter what size, receive one pre-pack of coffee at check-in. Coffee & filters are available separately or in the pre-packs at the resort stores. I haven't seen complimentary decaf for a year or so at OKW, just regular coffee.

you get the coffee singles or bring filters and coffee of your choice-

Yes you can find coffees in gift tins at DTD and various gift shops, if you want "homestyle" coffee bring your own!

PS. They used to keep sweetener and powdered creamer, last two visits it has just been sugar (no sweet alternative or creamer). I was unprepared and at dinner scooped up 3 equal from the restaurant table for breakfast the next morning-my Sweetheart thought I was pilfering the crown jewels.....:rotfl: I figured it was all within the gates and they would understand.:guilty:

Thanks! I think I'd better talk to DH to see if he can last without that first cup in the room.

And a thanks to OKWMom about the sweetener! We're both diabetic so that is very helpful for my planning.

I just thought of something good that might come out of this situation...we get up and out of the room earlier. lol Since we joined DVC, we have gotten pretty good about hanging around the room in the mornings while we all get ready since we're all night owls anyway.

Thanks again!

They have decaf and will exchange them out if you ask, at least that's been my experience so far with 6 weeks of stays in the past 3 years. I was thinking there were 2 packs not just one and they will replace them on T&T day. This is a trend I've seen in timeshares in general. They leave regular but have decaf, I have not experienced an exception with over 20 stays in the last 3-4 years at various resorts including Bluegreen, DVC and Marriott.

I know you said you didn't want to pack groceries, but this is something me and DH have been bringing. Maxwell House makes these filter/coffee packs that are just perfect. They come in a canister that is not too big to pack. Just toss a pack in the basket, and you're good to go.

Yeah, those are what we always buy when we stay at WDW, but this time we're using DME instead of a towncar so I wasn't planning on packing food stuff. If push comes to shove, I'll get some and pack them in a ziplock so they won't take up much space.

Agreed... this is what we do. Not our favorite brand, but we just use two of those packs to get the strength we're used to. Very easy... just plop those things into the hopper and you're good to go. Only, we need equal.... so we bring that also.

If the canister is too bulky for you, you can just put them in a baggy.

When we were there last summer and the end of this past Sept. I called housekeeping and they brought me a nice baggie of decaf (the filter type-with the little pkgs of sugar, sweetener, napkins, etc) @ no charge.:confused3

Most coffee makers are 10 to 12 cups. Originally at OKW studios had 4 to 6 cup makers. I haven't seen one of those in years, but there may be one or two still floating around.

When we there in Sept we had the larger 10-12 c coffee maker with I think 2 packs of coffee plus artifical sweetner, sugar and creamer.

I pre measure my coffee in the snack size ziplock bag and throw the filters in a larger ziplock bag. It doesn't take up much room in the suitcases.

You can get the 'sample size' coffee from the grocery stores to pack in your suitcase. You can also bring a couple of coffee filters in plastic bags. Or you can buy coffee and filters at the resort stores, or you can bring what you like one time (a large can of coffee, and filters, a variety of the sample size coffees, whatever you like) and leave it all in your Owner's Locker! That's what I do! I love my owner's locker just for things like this.
