This is on Canada Drive right? We stayed there in December 2001. That's not real recent so for what it's worth ...
It's not the best place I've ever stayed in but not the worst either. We pulled about 8pm at night and it was well lit and beautifully landscaped. The lobby area was large and since we arrived late check-in was fast. Our room was around back and upstairs but I can't remember the floor or room number right now. You need your card key to get in the gate, it's a heavy wrought iron type gate. We got in the elevator to go up and upon exiting we saw signs of wear and tear. It just looked like it could use a good scrubbing and fresh paint. Not filthy but used and a little bit of trash near the elevators, pop machines out of order -- just little things. We had a suite since we were 6 people. The sofa bed unfolded but we never were able to get it folded back up. The cleaning people never folded it back either. The vanity is seperate from the shower which would have been nice but whenever somebody took a shower the vanity area carpet puddled up so you ended up with wet feet. The room was clean including the fridge and microwave so I count that as a plus. The breakfast buffet is good. The menu was the same all 4 days we were there but had plenty to choose from...pancakes, eggs, bacon, grits, cereal, fresh fruit, juices, milk, probably some other stuff I forgot too. For the hot foods you line up and tell them what you want and they plate it for you. Don't be slow about deciding though. My cousin was with us and she had her dd in line with her and they skipped her dd. She said excuse me and that her dd needed a plate too and they weren't pleasant about her (my cousin) taking two plates. Well, 2 people 2 plates, common sense to me.
Basically, any common area -- lobby, restrooms, pool, restaurant -- we found to be clean and nice but the more private guest areas -- rooms, upper hallways -- we found to be used looking. Like I said, not filthy but used looking. We stayed between Christmas and New Years so that may account for some of what we experienced. That's a really busy time of the year. Maybe during the slower times the staff has more time to keep up on general maintenance.
Our room (exterior hallways) overlooked the pool and spa area and even though people were swimming whenever the pool was open we never heard them.
We probably should have complained about the bed and leaking. We were only there to sleep anyhow and they were at capacity (I heard them turn someone away while I was cheking in) so I didn't figure it would do any good.
I guess I didn't really help much. We just found it to be average, the things we found to be lacking evened out the things we liked.
