Its been a couple years since we stayed at akl.
When i was there last, you had to pay and it wasn't free. I suspect that things will be much more worn now, than they were. When it was a paid item, many people walked up, found out it cost, and then left.
I'm remembering cybex machines. They had between 8-12 machines. Thinking the bicep, chest press, knee extension , low back, some other back machines. They also had free weights. I'm even thinking they may have had a rack for chest press. I'm foggy and can't remember if it was a smith rack or not. Plus, they had a couple of benches to use. I remmeber they had the light weights, but can't remember how high the free weights went. As i don't lift heavy heavy weights.
I'm thinking the CS one had a pully machine as well, its foggy as we've stayed at the dolphin which has a smith rack, pully machine, around 6-8 cybex like machines in it.
It was pretty new when we went and very clean. I've been to the coronado springs resort fitness center too. It was much more worn out than the AKL one. Again haven't been to ALK since its now included in the resort price.
You might be able to get the number for the spa/gym ALK, don't remmeber what its called. The spa and gym are in the same spot, so you should be able to talk to a cm gym person at AKL to find out what equipment they do have on site.
If your creative you probably can get your workout in. If your a super heavy, heavy type lifter they may not have the really heavy weights.
