Hi, all. My friend from out of town booked a room at the Qualilty Inn and Suites for the night of July 27th and 28th. It was surprisingly easy to get into, considering the time of year and how close the date is. I told her that people on this board tend to favor some of the other hotels and I would try to find out if QI & S is good. Does anyone know anything about it? How far from DL and DCA is it? Will she and her family need a shuttle? IS there a shuttle? I am asking all of this because she is willing to change to a different hotel if we hear that one of the other ones is better. She is not doing one of the Disney hotels this time because she works for the government and she got a discount at QI&S. I assume that any purchases my friend makes would have to be sent to the Disneyland Newsstand to be picked up at the end of the day, because it would be a big pain otherwise! Thanks!

Well, look on Bret's DL lodging map. Quality Inn is just across the street from the crosswalk, behind the Camelot and the Carousel. But, if you click on its link, the webmaster tells you about his stay there. It wasn't pretty. http://www.geocities.com/ashpsyche/DisneylandLinkMap.html

I haven't clicked on all the links in there, but that's the only one so far I've found where he does a review, instead of just taking you to the official website. Yikes.

Also TripAdvisor has some very mixed reviews. I'd be concerned. http://www.tripadvisor.com/Search?q...eturnTo=__2F__&hid=75701&verbose=&hur=&ssrc=r

How about Howard Johnson's?

I am going to suggest HJ to my friend. I am not staying with them, but I told her that people on this board are very knowledgeable and I would consult you all about what she is about to get into. I will send her the link to the bad review if I have to! Thanks, Gail, for the heads up! I had a feeling there must be something wrong with the hotel if it was that easy to get into this soon before July 27 and 28.
