Quality affordable luggage?

I bought some inexpensive luggage from Macy's a few years ago
($200 for a set of 4 bought on sale for $100), and after three round trips on the plane two of the suitcases have ripped.

I am now looking to purchase some new luggage but want something that will last but still affordable. Any recommendations would be great!

Costco's Kirkland brand has a cult following amoung frequent travelers. Great quality for the price

We bought 4 sets of clearance luggage at Target over 4 years ago and none of them have ripped or broken! I got the 4 piece sets on clearance for under $7.00 each! Can't remember the name of them but they are Target's brand I think-they say "Embark" on the front of them.. We've used them for 4 plus trips and 2 cruises!
Also I bought them in a royal blue and it's great as they stand out amongst all the black luggage.

I would check at your local TJ Maxx or Marshalls.
