Okay, we're on the QSDP this year and while we've always purchased mugs when we've went on the regular DDP, this year we're given one for everyone on the plan. That equals 7 mugs!!! LOL We always just purchased 4, this year we'd purchase 5 (for the older children but the younger 2 don't need their very own mug, they share with me). So has anyone not gotten all your mugs....is there any sort of trade in for a snack credit or??? I don't think there is but wanted to ask.

You would have the option of not redeeming the mugs if you choose. I am pretty sure that you can't trade for a snack credit, but it never hurts to ask. Generally resorts are more lenient than parks, and maybe they can work a trade of some sort for you.

Thanks....sorry if I posted something bad. Didn't mean to go against rules or anything.

No worries at all :goodvibes

Your post was removed only because it looked like you were talking to yourself after the other posts were removed for posting about things that are against Disney's written rules. I could put it back for you if you want to look like you were randomly chatting with yourself ;) :rotfl:

No that's okay....no need in looking crazier than I actually am ;)

I say go ahead and get the mugs. Let the little ones have a "big girl/boy" cup this time. It is free and will maybe give them a little self confidence boost that they get their very own mug.

Now if you were paying I would say no, but in this case, yeah, let them have their own mugs.

Only thing is when everyone is through with their mugs...mommy gets to carry all of those big mugs around in her bag all day LOL Thats one reason we kind of didn't start buying them for the kids until they had their own bag to carry their own 'stuff'. Oh well, they stack....and I could look at is like adding small weights to my walking workout LOL

May I ask why you carry the mugs with you to the parks? Since you can't refill them there, are they only to drink out of? If so all the CS places have throw away cups you can use (just ask for a free cup of water).
This way you don't have to carry them.

Just have a "runner" take them back to the room after breakfast or when you eat at the resort. That is what we do.

Don't know....we've just always had breakfast on the way to the bus stop and then refilled them before we left to have something in the parks. I guess we won't need them in the parks this year though since I'm packing a few bottled waters in my bag.

Even if the little ones don't use their mugs they could use theirs just at the hotel room and transfer their drinks into a disposable container. If you have bottled water, just save a couple of those and pour the kids' drinks into them. When they run out, toss them. I've read someone else attaches their mugs to their belts with a big clip, so each person carries their own. I'd definitely have the older kids put theirs in string backpacks or hooked to fanny packs or beltloops when they are done and would not be carrying for them. I'm a mom, not a pack mule.

I don't carry my teens mugs...just mine and my husbands mugs. That's why we've never purchased them until the children are old enough to keep up with their own fanny pack or backpack/sling pack.....but again, we'll just leave them in the room and they can share whatever I get or drink from the water bottles.

Another option is to get their mugs, but don't use them and gift them to someone upon your return. :)
