QSDP - anyone doing this soon to confirm differences?

Hi,

I got free QSDP when I booked my holiday for May and I've looked on the forums and seen a different 2012 Brochure than the one on the WDW website.

I looked more closely and found that the one I get taken to via the website says its for UK guests at the top.

The main difference was that it seems I'll get 2CS and 2 snack credits per day as supposed to the 1 snack credit I saw on the main leaflet, which ofcourse is great. I also think this goes toward making up for the fact that US residents get a standard DDP when booking a Mod resort and we get QSDP only, however, there are quite a few more location options on the main one. Most places in DTD and all the ones at CSR (where im staying) are not on there. I dont know if this is correct or if, when the non-Disney owned retaurants signed up at the end of the year the main leaflet was updated but not the UK one,

it would be great if anyone is visiting soon could confirm any of this,

I'm also watching and waiting but it's early days yet. I expect we will need to wait at least a couple of weeks because anyone who arrived on or before December 31st would have had the 2011 plan so I guess we need to wait another 10 days plus at the very least. I keep saying I would miss the extra snack - yet we never seem to manage to use them all .... Still, they offered it so I want it!!

I have noticed that there are a few changes to the plan. We did the DDP last year for the first time and have it for our trip this year I like the fact that you now get a refil mug free on the plan now as it will save money on drinks at the resort.

I am also pleased to see that almost all the DTD places are included in the plan now as well. We ended up paying oop as we like Pardiso 37 for example now its going to be tough to choose were to go this year.

Seems a pity the on the QSP that there is only the one snack option as having the two was great.

That is the OP's question though. There is a separate QSDP guide for UK guests only and it is different to the main one on the .com site in that the UK one is advertising 2 snacks, not one. We will wait for the reports I guess.

Does say two snacks, i would screen print and print everything so when you get there they can see but im not sure they would be ale to implement two different schemes like that but be interested to know

I know when you google it the brochure pdf comes up that staes just the one snack

I must admit I'm normally not bad but the fact that its my first week back after the festive season and my brain has melted as well. Took me all my time to remember my password for work and I was only off for 12 days.

I have booked for 2012 and when they changed the US dining plan I contacted both Virgin and Disney to check as we had booked when it said 2 snacks. Both companies said that UK customers are still getting 2 snack credits as usual. Quote directly from WDW Customer Services email reply I received:

"For UK guests, the 2012 Quick Service Dining Plan will include 2 snacks and 2 counter service meals per night of your stay as well as a resort refillable mug."

This is why they have produced seperate US and UK leaflets for 2012. As far as I am aware there are no other differences between the two leaflets it's just the QSDP snack credits.

I will be taking a print out of the email with me in case they don't give us 2 snacks but I am 99.9% sure that it won't even be an issue at all!

on the NA DD has wolfgang, earl of sandwich, etc...

I contacted VH ages ago and you def get two snack credits not the one. I have also saved and printed the email from VH to take with me but don't think this is going to be an issue because I feel fairly sure we would have all heard about it if people were NOT getting the two as stated!!! Mine are def going to be used on CUPCAKES!!!!!

I have sent an email today to try and find out if the UK version of the QSDP leaflet is correct.

I am sure the snack credit thing is correct but I want to know(as many others do) about the restaurant locations as according to the leaflet we are down to one choice in Down Town Disney but the U.S version has more choice.

I will update if I get a reply

I dont think they have updated the UK one with the full list of restaurants which may be where the discrepancies are coming in. I can't see them having separate places offering the DDP. Components of the DDP are added to your KTTW card at check in. But the restaurants either take Dining Credits or they don't. Could be wrong - but most likely scenario is that the list on the UK one is not right up to date yet

Looks like they have taken away all places to eat in downtown Disney off for QSDP hope not

It does seem really odd that there are a lot more restaurant on the US flyer than the UK one, I'm just hoping that they did a snapshot on the UK one but you can use it at any counter service
Who's going first to confirm it?? I'm not going until November...
