QSDDP Question

I have just been looking through a bunch of the threads and i was wondering if I could get a clarification on this? Has the QSDDP changed? We used it in 2010 and loved it. And we were planning on using it again this year as we booked with the free dinning plan promo.

Also I was looking online at ADR. Is it possible to book a resevation when we get there through the front desk? Is a credit card needed then as well to reserve or can we charge it to the room? There is only a charge if you miss the reservation if you are planning on paying out of pocket right?

Can't answer the second question, but the QSDP is now 2 QS meals, 1 snack, and refillable mug.

The CC-held reservations require a CC (or CC-based debit card) to reserve. They will not charge the card at the time (well, other than temporary $1 charges to make sure it's valid, which will then disappear quickly) and will only charge the card if you don't show up. This is true if you're online, over the phone, or at Guest Relations.

The DDP or OOP does not factor into CC-held reservations at all (except for the pre-paid events, in which an applicable dining plan changes the pre-pay to a CC hold for the full amount).

Back in 2010 the QSDP used to have 2 QS meals, 2 snacks, and a mug.
Today it's the same but 1 snack instead of 2.

1 snack per night per person allotted in 2012, down from 2 snacks per night per person.

If you book a reservation that requires a credit card hold you will still need to put down the credit card number, no matter when or where you make the reservation.

Another change to the QSDP from 2010 is that you only get one non alcoholic beverage with your CS breakfast. In 2010 they gave us two. We didn't think in 2010 that it was a terrible use of a QSDP credit for breakfast with 2 juices. Last year we viewed it differently and only used some credits for breakfast because we weren't using them as fast as we thought we would over our trip.
