What is the best QS in Epcot's Mexican Pavillion? And I'm one of those who says I love Mexican food, but actually means that I love Tex-Mex...will I like anything?

We just ate at the new Cantina on Tuesday and have to say it was really pretty good. Not great - but good, especially for Disney standards these days. I think its actually outsourced though and not run by Disney.

We had both the chicken and beef tacos. There were 3 small tacos in each basket with tri-colored tortilla chips. The chips were just standard mass produced chips. The beef was shredded with cilantro strips and the chicken was more in small strips/pieces. The corn tortilla shells were a little greasy an soft, but not horrible. I personally preferred the chicken - in all honestly I really liked the flavor quite a bit. I don't care for shredded beef that much in general.

We had the churros as part of the dining plan - and they were 3 or 4 small strips about 4 inches each with a small container of milk caramel. You standard churro, but the sauce was good. Wouldn't have paid $4 for it had we not been on the meal plan, but then again I wouldn't have paid $10.95 for 3 small tacos either. The beef entree was $11.95.

The chipoltle sauce was just barely spicey and a little bitter, but okay. I didn't try the mild verde sauce.

There is only one QS in the Mexico pavilion, La Cantina.

It is more along the lines of true Mexican style food than Tex-Mex. For example, the tacos just have meat, pico de gallo, and lime.

Here's the menu so you can decide for yourself: http://allears.net/menu/men_cant.htm
