We made last minute trip to The World last November and got the free dining plan. Since we were at the All Stars we got the QS for free. I was on the fence about upgrading, but since it was kinda last minute many of the better TS places were booked. So we sucked it up and went QS all week.

I was prepared to be hamburger-ed out, but we ended up eating hamburgers ONE time the whole week. I scoured the menu's in advance and made notes of places that served atypical fast-food. I did find that we LOVED not being tied to restaurant reservations, we loved the freedom it gave us to change our plans on the spur of the moment.

I just wanted to throw this out there for anyone else hesitant about having the QS plan.

I have been debating on an upgrade for my trip in March. I am in the same situation. We have the free Qs And were debating between upgrading or just maybe getting 1 table service And paying for it. But we are only there for 3 shirt nights so after paying oop it would only be about $100 more for the upgrade

We've done both TS And QS dining plans for both long and short trips. We prefer QS. Lots of great options and the flexibility to eat whenever we're hungry. We hate being tied down to a daily restaurant reservation.

If I were only there for 3 nights, I'd want max park time, and TS really cuts into that. But that's just me, I realize many people enjoy dining vs. eating.

We've done both quick service and normal dining. We ended up paying OOP for 2 Table services (Ohana and Tusker house) with the quick service. It worked out well and was still cheaper. We just ended up with a lot of credits for QS and snacks at the end. It really is so much food! I've found that if you go to at least 3 character meals for a 6ish night stay, than the normal dining becomes worth it.
