I was just told by my agent at Dreams Unlimited that I wasn't able to get the QS dining plan with the annual passholder room rate?? Is this correct? I was under the impression that I could from previous threads and also just went Disney's website and it allowed me to add the QS plan to a AP room only rate?? With the exception it would be considered a package and would require a $200 deposit. Confused:confused3

I was able to do for our trip which starts tomorrow
$29.99 per guest 10 and older
$8.99 per child 3-9 years old
told cost for 7 nights was $1158.00 with room, we are staying at All Star Music.
it did require a $200 deposit and you had to have it all paid up I think it was 45 days before your arrival.

veraletta,
Thank you!! Think I'll just cx with DU and book it online myself!! Was trying to help out the travel industry by going thru a TA, but not when I"m told incorrect info. Thanks again!

You can add any of the dining plans to your AP room discount (I have done it multiple times; just did it a couple weeks ago). It does act as a package though, so the deposit of $200 is required (I have even done the DDP for one night and then the deposit was actually the balance due).

Thanks DisneyGirl4188,
Do I have to add the QS plan before my 45 days out? Still on the fence about adding it and wondered, say if I decide at the last minute can I pay for it a week or two before we actually get there. Granted that I will have to pay for the full amount at that time?

You have to do it more than 3 days from arrival.

Maybe the TA misunderstood your question and thought you were asking if you could get free dining with the AP rate? I bet she's getting lots of calls with that question and may have not been hearing the question as you asked it?

I believe you can pay for any dining plan you want with the AP discount.

You can't add DDP to a room only reservation at any time. What you need to do is convert your reservation to an annual passholder room/dining PACKAGE. That means they will have to cancel your room only reservation and rebook it as a package.

The reservation will then be subject to the same deposit, change and cancellation policies that apply to packages. These are quite different from room-only reservations. They require at least a $200 deposit with the balance to be paid in full no later than 45 days before arrival. Cancel or downgrade your reservation after that, and you will be charged a fee.

The good news is that you can have an annual passholder room discount rate applied to a room/dining package.

Ask your travel agent if they can convert your reservation to an annual passholder package and add the dining plan. It could be that there was no availability for the package reservation at the resort you have.
