So we have the QS dining plan set for our upcoming trip. That means we will be paying OOP for at least one meal a day.

So, my question is this, which meals?

We are staying at the Coronado Springs Resort so will eat breakfast there at the Pepper Market each morning. I had intended to pay OOP there as breakfast is normally the cheapest meal, but most of the entrees there are $9 - $10 so just as much as most lunch/dinner options. Should I just save myself the crazy amount of time that it would take to go through each possible restaurant and just do OOP everyday for breakfast, or should I go through and examine the scenarios?

Disney is hard y'all. :rotfl::rotfl:

It's possible you might want to pay OOP for breakfast, because you lose the dessert option entirely if you use credits for it. Breakfast doesn't include a dessert.

For breakfast, we normally get 2 platters as there is more than enough to share and use a snack credit for a muffin to go with it. With the large CS portions, often we would go without breakfast, just have a piece of fruit, and then have lunch around 11 and dinner around 5 or 6.

We are not hot breakfast eaters We bring breakfast stuff-muffins, Danish, pop tarts, cereal- in our suitcase and eat in the room before we go to the park. By the end of the trip we have space in the suitcase to bring all of the stuff we bought home.

We do the same. Bring breakfast items and eat in the room. This also saves time so we can get to the parks early.

My husband and I usually get the biggest breakfast on the menu and split it. It's still one credit, we don't have to have food brought in or use a snack credit this way. We have been doing this at All Star Movies and the portions have been huge!

If you know that you're also going to eat a QS meal for lunch and dinner as well, I would probably just pay OOP for breakfast. As TDC Nala said, breakfast doesn't come with a dessert and some of those QS desserts at lunch/dinner are pretty yummy.

We don't do the DDPs anymore but when we did, we always just grabbed fruit and a muffin or pop tart in the room (brought muffins and pop tarts from home and bought fruit from Publix our first day there). It wasn't even so much about money or using the DDP, we just didn't want to take the time to go into a restaurant and eat breakfast (unless it was a character meal).
