Q's and A's about New Rides & Pins

Yea, He's says "Who... R... U" Like in the movie with the smoke rings. It's just that there's so many people in the room, it's uncommon that you see the whole effect. Anyone else notice that when you pass the white rose trees they splat and turn red as you pass them? Just thought that was a really creative effect.

The roses are my favorite effect I think from either of the rides! I have yet to see the entire who r u too but it is pretty cool also

I've won two sword magic pins so far and both of them were winners. It's my lucky day!:shamrock:

I managed to pull it out earlier as well. :goodvibes

I rode forever this morning with no magic, finally, this evening rode and won a few magics. Tried one and won the pin.

Arg..

Despite my "Luck of the Irish", I have seemed to not even be able to get a magic pin yet.. :confused3

Some lucky people here! :goodvibes

I've rode about 20 times and have only gotten the magic pin once. I didn't get anything. :(

i have gotten three magic pins and no winners yet but there is always tomorrow

I rode two characters through for about five hours. Got probably 20 or more magic pins. Not a single one allowed me to pull the sword out of the stone.

- sigh -

One of my clones got the pin on her third time of trying to pull it out ;) I will be stealing it from her tomorrow for sure :lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2:

Lyn (NOW ... TiDoubleGer)

:tigger:

i would like to know the probability of winning a one time use sword in the stone magic code, just so i know that i will probably never get another one. :rolleyes1 one can always dream...lol.

I love the new Fantasyland and the new rides. But VMK takes all the nifty stuff and tarnishes them with boredom and frustration.

I can see these Awesome new VMK Dark Rides become as hated as the Jack Sparrow game. And that was free to play. These you have to pay for your random chance to maybe get or maybe not get a Sword in the Stone Magic pin. Then if by lucky fate you happen to get one then you have another random chance at maybe getting a fantastic looking Tea Party Pin. But unless you're especially lucky (which I never am) you have to ride over and over and over and over and over and...

I've rode 37 times. I have won 4 Sword pins. I've got no Tea Partys.

VMK + Random(Random) == LAME

:sad2:

To add to my frustration... I hate trash magic. One of my biggest complaints about Single Use Magic is that it has a time limit. It wouldn't be so bad to have a one time use item if it didn't time out, but to make it expire is sad. Especially when they have such nice looking pins. I particularlly like the key pins from the pirate game. I think they look really cool. And now I love the look of the Sword in the Stone Magic Pin, but I can't keep it. More's the pitty.

:guilty:

To end on a positive note: Again, the new rides look cool. I'm very impressed with how well the resemble the actual park rides. The VMK Artist did a fine job there. The colors are vibrant and the music and effects within the rides are equally impressive. I like how the animations don't activate until someone rides next to them, just as a real ride. I love the details of the bare dark room - the doors and light switches - classic! It all really makes me want to go back to DLR just to ride them again... heh.

:upsidedow

I finished an exam too late to log on tonight, but I look forward to trying this all out as well. I'm not a fan of paying for a chance at anything either, but look at it this way: you can do a music mix 2x in a half hour (approx. every 15 minutes). So, every half hour you'd have an extra 50 credits and could thus go on 5 rides with no credit loss from your stash (important for me since my "stash" is only just barely over 3,000 credits). Or crash Ned a couple times and then ride 4 more times. If you limit yourself how many times you ride, hopefully you won't go into the virtual poor house. This semester's been so bad for me that I can rarely play the game, and now is definitely the time I wish we could have a VMK credit card! :lmao:

I rode all afternoon about tree hours and have gotten a total of 6 magic Pins but no...nothing ..non tea cup Pin

My Dh rode for only about hour and got 5 pins but still Tea Cup Pins...

But I agree ...there is always tomorrow! :)

I had a theory it might be like pirates and you do better using them all together. Anecdotal evidence however did not support this theory. Several people I know used 5 or more at once and came up empty. (like yohoempty) My first 4 were done apart and were nothing, then I watched the sword let several people get nothing. I used 4 someone in between me got nothing then I finished off my last 4. Then for the last two hours I recieved no more magic (which is when I started wandering around the ride) So my summary here is about 200 rides cast 2000 credits 15 magics no tea cup pins. others got it with one magic pin on first try. This sounds a little like Narnia Wardrobes. Random folks, very random. No telling when you might win. Hopefully they will tweak the winning a bit in the coming days. Everything was very nice but after 200 rides...

Yup excatly... that is what I did. I even reminded my DH to get his music every 15 mins too! Not that I am worried about it..as we have lots of credits..been saving them just for all this new stuff. But I totally agree with this... just remember to get your music and you don't even have to touch your credits...I still have the same amount as I started out with and I rode all afternoon some tonight! Love the Pan ride!
