Of course, mailed in my absentee ballet last week, its so much easier that going down to the polling places.

Thanks for reminding me - I had forgotten. I haven't decided yet as our local election is one of those that doesn't have any choices. There's only one candidate for mayor and the council positions are the same. How sad is that.

I usually vote no matter what so I'll probably go just out of civic guilt.

I will be voting. We have three town councilmen positions that need to be filled. My youngest loves to come with me, so I'll do on the way to school.

NO, the county workers.. we still go to school..and of course I never have a day off... but the county workers....

There really is a coroner race. DH and I have been joking about the heated coroner race for the past few weeks.

Get this, one of the guys running to be coroner is not a Dr.

Unfortunately yes.
I am stuck in a town going no where so I suppose it really doesn't matter if I vote or not. 1/2 the offices only have 1 person running, so it doesn't matter if we vote, as long as they vote for themselves they'll win.

On the one hand the current First Selectman is an idiot and their motto is We don't want any changes in our town. Great! Stuck in a black hole! We have no sense of community, we are very divided by seniors and not seniors.
The other choice came over to campaign, she never said a flippin' word! Didn't even introduce herself, she let the guy running for selectman talk. Um hello, you are running for the highest office in this town, do you have anything to say about how you are planning on running the town?!?!? Oh and she owns a business in town, conflict of interest! And her whole family hates the school, doesn't see why we need any money for the school at all!

UGH! I'm going to go beat my head up against the wall til tomorrow. LOL

That is why DH and I find it so funny. He is the Democratic candidate. There is a Republican and Independent running who are both MDs. Can you guess who I am not voting for?

I won't be voting. We only have city councillors and school committee members up for grabs and since I haven't been following any of the races, I would not be an informed voter. I know, I'm a terrible citizen, but I just can't get into politics, especially local politics. I came across DH watching a school committee debate on public access yesterday, so I think he'll be voting. One out of 2 aint' bad!

Well, we have the day off tomorrow! I will be voting! The kids love to come with me and push the button. I have a friend who is running for reelection (what a funny word...) onto our school board. I will be voting for him.

We are also going to get our copy of Ratatouille tomorrow and then watch it! I can't wait!

I will be voting we are having a statewide vote to decide if we want to keep the property taxes at the lowered levels or not- the lowered levels brought our taxes down about $300.
