This came out of an office conversation with some of the students that work in my office. We had a lot of fun so I thought I'd throw it out here.

If you could have a superpower, what would you choose? Would you be invisible, x-ray vision, stretching.....and the list can go on? Of course as many of you are moms, you already have "eyes in the back of your heads", right?

I've always wished I had the power to freeze time - you know like that TV show from the 80s - "Out of this World". Aside from the obvious in the moment benefits I figure it would be like having 2-3 extra lives because you could freeze time to sleep, then have all those nightime hours to do other things! And I confess, there were times (usually during a stressful test in high school) that I surreptitiously put my fingers together to see if somehow I had magically come up that power!

I think I lean toward flying. Just think, you could miss traffic jams and take shortcuts. And it would be fun!

Freezing time would be great too though - makes me think of the time-turner in HP.

Hmmmm, freezing time would be good like Piper from Charmed.

Or moving really fast like Dash, I could get a lot done like dishes, cleaning, mopping, swapping, etc....

Occasionally I wish I could move objects, you know when the remote is on the mantle and you're under the covers on the couch and in a comfy position. I hate having to get up to get something.

(and how fast you could get to WDW! :))

I think my super power would be the ability to duplicate myself, so that I could be in more than one place at a time and be able enjoy those places.

:teleport:

Time travel. I would love to travel back in time to meet relatives and see how and where they lived.

Hey - we could be the "dis" credibles! Bad pun, I know but think how great a team we'd be with all those superpowers. One of my assistants wants to be able to read people's minds - that one would scare me I think.

Okay, I want the one where I can absorb everyone else's powers temporarily (like Rouge in the X-men). This way, when I want to fly, move objects, multiply myself, mess with the weather, travel through time or stop time, I can. I don't need to pick just one. :rotfl: I just need to be around you guys all the time.

Okay, I've been thinking about this all day and haven't come up with much. I would love the power to grant wishes (kind of like I Dream of Jeanie).

My DD would like the power indivisibilty!:rotfl:

psst, you might want to change the spelling.

Right now she wants to join things together. :lmao:

Awww, that is so sweet.
It is like she is going to make everyone get along, whether they like it or not.

OK, before I go there, I give you fair warning - geek alert! I have read X-men since I was 11 and LOVE the show Heroes.

Me too, me too! Though I think I'd like to be more like Peter Petrelli (sp?) on Heroes. He just absorbs peoples power by being close and doesn't drain theirs. Couldn't imagine not being able to touch & kiss my hubby without potentially killing him. I always felt sorry for Rouge because of that.

Ok, as soon as I read the question I thought "i want charmed powers!" and then I read BAMB's, lol. Piper can freeze things and speed them up (which blows whatever it is up) which would be really cool-dirty dishes? BAM! blown up. husband arguing? BAM! you freeze him. The possibilities are endless...But I also want Prue's power were she can move things too-the whole 'I'm comfy but the remote is across the room' scenario comes into play.

ah, now you got me dreamin'. maybe if I ask Santa?

(and the indivisible is so perfect!)
