My question for today is: If you could only have one PS meal in WDW, which would you choose?

DH and I are heading over next month and can't decide where to eat. We've done Le Cellier alot and love it, but were wondering what else is great.:)

Only one? Unthinkable, there are three meals in a day. One should do at least one PS per day. It just dawned on me, I haven't made one PS for our trip next month. Look who is talking, I better get cranking. Quick everyone, make suggestions!

Let's see I like Ohana's for dinner, loved the California Grill when the fireworks at MK are being held.

.

We really enjoyed our meal in Moracco- I don't know that I would worry about a PS for it as it has never been crowded when we go- although we go for lunch.

I love eating at places we haven't been but my DH is willing to go to Disney any time I make a PS for Coral Reef.

Our first meal at WDW was at the Rose & Crown. We had an outside seat, right in the back against the short wall. Dessert finished and the fireworks started. It was awesome. Have to do that again.

Well, with 5 kids we only do one PS per trip..thats all we can afford... (DH's meds are priority one)..anyway, next year we are going to do Liberty Tree... well, that was the plan... we'll see what it is closer to time... I know they have also batted around ESPN too... Also, we have 3 teenagers, a pre-teen and a youth and 3 of the 5 are PICKY eaters so I don't like to waste food..and there is no reason to take up a big table at PS if my kids aren't going to eat.. (I hope that makes those who want PS happy, I'm thinking about you!)

CRT (for lunch)........sigh

Or Beirgarten, or Akershus, or Chef Mickeys, or..............

Man, I want to go!!!!

If I could only have one I'd choose Boma every time. It is easily my favorite restaurant.

On my trips with my Dad we always go on the first night of the trip for dinner and the last morning for breakfast, but this year he said he might want to add a second dinner in next time! If I love it, he's obsessed with it!

If it was just DH and me, California Grill would be my choice. We ate there this past trip while my sister and her DH took the kids to Chef Mickey. It was a total dining experience, not just a meal. The food was wonderful, the service was great, and the pace was perfect. It was so nice to truly relax after the hustle and bustle of the WDW vacation.

we always do Chef Mickey's and 1900 Park Faire but then we have DD, someday hope to do "grown-up" PS. For our Jan trip we have:

CRT for breakfast (had lunch there last time)
Sci-Fi for lunch (first time)
Tony's for dinner (first time)
Chef Mickeys for breakfast
1900 Park Faire for breakfast

You're going to love Sci Fi!!! t was the most peaceful meal we had at WDW. The kids were so enthralled with the whole thing.

We always start every trip at Chef Mickey's... then take a monorail ride

However, after doing the recipe swap, I think I would try Boma. Sooooo many people say it's great....

Wow, good thing I'm not limited :rotfl2:

Honestly, if you haven't made your PS already, you will probably be limited by what is available.

Usually, we go for Le Cellier at lunch, and Boma for breakfast. When we are going over Christmas, we still are doing the lunch, but we are doing Boma for dinner. We are also planning on eating at Narcoosee's on Christmas Eve. Those are the only PS we made because we are trying to cut back, and will just eat at my parent's house or off property.

We used to do Chef Mickey's and 1900 Park Fare, but have grown tired of them. Liberty Tree isn't bad. My parents really like Chef de France right now. We've been very dissatisfied with the directions the menus have taken since the dining plan started that there are fewer and fewer places that stand out.

I'm looking forward to it too, what did you have to eat?

burgers or the Rueben. It is definitely a burger joint, most people complain about the food not being up to WDW standards but it is what it is, a 1950's drive in. I like the fries too. The kids always get burgers or grilled cheese too.

Oh a request a car!

this past summer, we went to Chef Mickey's (dinner), Cinderella's Royal Table (breakfast), Crystal Palace (breakfast), 'Ohana (breakfast), Liberty Tree Tavern (dinner), Play & Dine (breakfast) and we had a PS at Tony's, but ended up canceling it. Can you tell we are all about the characters? :rotfl2: We used all of our table service dining credits on character meals. :thumbsup2

I think if I could only pick one, it would be Boma! I love it!! The first time I ate there, I was nervous that I wouldn't find anything I liked. It is one of our very favorites and a must-do for us now!!

This thread made me hungry for WDW food! In March, we have:

Cape May dinner
Donald's breakfast
CRT breakfast (we've never done this! I'm excited!!)
Le Cellier dinner
Boma dinner

Come on 133 days. . .go quickly!! :)

Thanks,
do I request it when we get there or add the request to my ADR's (already made)?

It's tradition for me for my first lunch to be at Sci-Fi!! It's always the first ressie I make, though probably the easiest to get in. I love it there....Not for the food by any means, but I just love it for the experience!! And, its a wonderful place to just chill out and relax! They never try to rush us out of there either. Usually have the burger or Reuben, too. And, if you don't like really well-done burgers, make sure you tell them...then they come out good.
You request to eat in one of the cars when you check in....you can't do it when you make your ressie. Most of the seats are in the cars anyway, so don't worry.

My favs for food quality on top of experience (and great places for long dinners with good friends) are:
Brown Derby
California Grill
Boma
Jiko
Le Cellier
Bistro de Paris

Oh, and Rebecca...I know what you mean about the changes created by the dining plan...Pretty disappointing. That was one thing I was going to write to WDW about when I got home after my October trip and haven't had time...Thanks for reminding me!

My favorites:

Boma's
Liberty Tree Tavern
Brown Derby
Le Cellier

I'd have a hard time choosing from these. I also liked Artist Point at WL but haven't eaten there for at least 10 years so can't vouch for it now.
