I was named for my two grandmothers, one of whom died 4 months before I was born.

I was not named after anyone. I also did not want to name my children after anyone. I looked for names that weren't already being used in the family that both my husband and I liked. That is hard to do since I have 20 aunts & uncles (before marriage) on my side. I have over 50 first cousins. Add my husband's small family and lots of names were automatically ruled out.

UpDisney.. So far we only had one set of names close... two of the cousinsare derevities (spelling) of the same name..but I had my DS first...so they copied me... I was lucky..oldest grandchild..so I knew all the names I didn't want used..and had kids first!
