I agree!!!!! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 ... I am only 1 hr away to San Francisco Bay! I haven't been there for over a year! San Francisco Bay weather is quite cold this time of year. I hope they had a lot of sweater that kept them warm... :goodvibes Those picture look great, but if it was Disney Magic or Wonder wow, it would have been better. Is this part of QM2 cruise around the world??

Great pics...This is the boat on a 160 day world cruise...Last week 250+ passengers had the famous cruise stomach virus...fun!!

Thanks. That explains it. Do you know how many?

When she sailed under the Golden Gate bridge, the bridge sounded its fog horn to welcome her and the QM2 replied. It was an awesome sight. As soon as I am allow to post pictures, I will.

I think you have to post at least 10 or 15? posts? Don't worry, you'll get there and you can share us your pictures.

That must have been a sight to see!

It was. The crowd was as large as for fleetweek and yesterday was super bowl sunday. If I get off work eary enough, I'm going to try to take some night pictures when she leaves tonight.

Now I am all pumped to go on our first ever cruise.

Actually that was The Queen Elizabeth II that had all the ill people! Both the QEII and QMII are doing world cruises at the moment. I had a look at the itineries a few months back, and wow these are dream vacation and a half...the destinations are pretty much everywhere I have ever wanted to visit. Well dream, apart from the virus thing!!

Do you have any idea how much $$ somthing like these world cruises costs?
I have heard that it is cheaper to cruise vs. enter a retirement home...I am years away but curious.

Here is a link to the videotape from my station's website.

I was working Sunday, and I got to watch the helicopter video coming in live from my desk. Amazing how many people were out watching, while the Super Bowl was on.

I did look at the prices, but I can't remember now. Cunard (www.cunard.com) is the company operating those particular ships. That's were I looked at the info. Coming in 2008 is a another new ship The Queen Victoria.

My hope is to return to UK in style, when I finally move back from US. My DH and & have big dreams to return on one of these world cruise. I think they will let you pick up the ship in New York, but I'm not sure. Not sure I could ever afford it so I guess the US is stuck with me!

Thanks!!

I believe it's over $100k for the top of the line suite for the world cruise. I would have to take a second mortage on my house to afford that trip but it would be life time experience. Note to self: keep buying lotto tickets.

The price range that I read in the papers for the round the world is $22K to $190K and I do not recall if it was per person or for the room.
