Scary?? No - not a bit!! Vote early, vote often, I say..!!!

Really - the best thing to do is go to your polling booth as early as you can - I find that is the best option.

I think, really, it's harder if you are going to be away. I was in Orlando for the '07 elections and tried to arrange postal voting, but there wasn't enough time - the paperwork didn't arrive. So, that was the first election held since I was 18 that I didn't vote in! It felt very odd, I must say!

Marlea - there would be a polling booth at City Hall - if it comes to it!

Nah, it's a load of rollicking fun Getting accosted by people shoving how to vote flyers at you as you run the gauntlet to the polling area Note - make sure you watch that they mark off the correct name when you give them your name! DD picked up the other year that the lady had marked off a name under mine instead of DH's. that would have bee fun to explain if he got fined.

Getting to and from the airport use AirTrain - currently $30 for a return ticket

It might be worth sharing a cab into the city, too, since there will be the three of us going in, BUT it all depends on the traffic. I vote for the AirTrain, it has free wifi, too. I love watching the world go by on the short trip into town

And I must apologise to you for your uncomfortable ride in to town!! I just realised this morning that the back seat was uneven!!! So sorry - that must have been so hard on your back!!!

I'm trying to get some photos on my computer - proving to be more difficult than I thought!! But I will persevere!!

i am so, so glad i could make it, and had a ton of fun meeting you ladies! i had a great day, lots of laughs and fun. resting up in bed today as i think i laughed a little too hard yesterday!!

those pumpkins on the table were a bit weird, i took a photo too, but i see the lovely heather has already posted a pic. i think we all whipped out phones for photos as it was just too random

had a lovely time meeting you all, and can't wait to see if we can organise it again sometimes soon...maybe after we're all back from our trips!
