Oklies.....you asked for it...
a poll on who would willingly eat the new and special edition Qantas maggot trail mix if you knew it would score a voucher from Qantas.....
but at what value would you do it???

All findings will be passed on to Qantas marketing.....

The new and improved slogan..."Flying the wrigly skies"....

:rotfl2: Another classic poll! Love it.

But where's your vote Karen? You have to vote in your own poll.

I had to google Inigo Montoya :rolleyes1

You didn't have "other" as an option!

I think mine would be $5000, I *may* do it for $5k

I think they were more likely to be weevils than maggots - I dont know if that makes it any better.

As Luisa mentioned in the other thread, I think its strange that she and her son got a few packets and no one else on the plane got any. :confused3 Just lucky I guess!

Anyway I'll give it a go for $1200 - how much do I have to actually eat, or is it just for the trauma of being given them. :rolleyes1

How much alcohol can I have before hand?

I'm with battymum on the alcohol...can we drown them in tequila? Would be just like mesclun...

:eek:other for me to no amount of money could get me to eat them
But DS15 has a stomach of steel and maybe we could negotiate:lmao:
Would have to be enough to cover 6 return airfares though :rotfl2:

OK
I have a cunning plan:thumbsup2
We take on our own maggots/ weavils...and then add them to every meal, snack and beverage..."Oh my god, there's a maggot/weavil/small child swimming in my pre flight beverage.."..& then with the all the vouchers we can then fly business syd-lax...oooohhhh I do love a cunning plan......although as my mates say..."Aussie karen..your cunning plans sux!":confused3

Kaz, did you just quote" The princess bride" from the 80s kids movies?:lmao:

Stuff it. I will take the worms. As long as it's gluten free. ( 6 month diagnosed celiac )

My god , it is that quote. I just watched that last week with my daughter. She didn't really think much of the movie. :confused3

ok, so I'm old....but love love love princess bride..and that sentence just about works in all situations...
as does the phrase "keep on trucking" that i put on cards regardless of the occasion..birthdays, weddings, loss, divorce......

the book is also good, for those of you looking for holiday reading..

speaking of books.....a few of my recommendations for the plane trips/ Holiday reading

"Bossypants" by Tina fey (Biography)

"The House of silk" Anthony horowitz (Sherlock Holmes novel/ Murder Mystery)

"Change we can believe in" By Barack Obama (Humorous/ Biography, ghost written)

"Complete Short stories" Oscar Wilde (So sad yet uplifting, but so sad)

"Freefall" Joseph Stiglitz (Financial Crisis, Economist WTO)

"Happiest Refugee" Anh Do (Australian comic , Autobiographical, awesome storyteller, used for senior school English)

"Water for elephents" Sara Gruen (Romantic Fiction, dont see the movie, book is so much better)

"Lucy family alphabet" Judith Lucy (Auto biographical, Australian Comic, Adoption, Side splitting funny)

"Knit one, kill two" Maggie Sefton (Murder mystery set in a knitting club..strange but compelling)

Enjoy:cheer2:
