I'm going to Universal on 12/5-12/8 and stay at Cabana Bay.
I've got the ticket + Unlimited EP combo for 12/6 and 12/7.
Can I use my ticket on 12/5 (without EP or get EP at the park) and add extra day for the 12/7?
Can I get ticket only for the extra day, or since I have the ticket + EP combo, am I required to get the same combo for the additional day?

I've never used those ticket before but my guess would be, on 12/5 you will need to upgrade your ticket to 3 day + unlimited EP good starting 12/5. No, I don't think you'll be able to get just an extra day with EP. If you were trying to add 12/8 you're options might be different you could have used to the tickets on 12/6 and 12/7 then checked out the price to upgrade to one of the Annual Passes.

You're best option is to call Universal and see what they recommend.

where did you buy the combo ticket?
when you say combo, i'm thinking of the water park/UO parks

do you mean park 2 park ticket with unlimited express pass usage?

I read that there's limited number of EP sold for the day, so I may or may not be able to upgrade my ticket, depending on availability?

I've been going back and forth between 2-day and 3-day ticket.
I'll be at WDW from 11/26 then move to Universal on 12/5. I have 6-day ticket for Disney.
This is my first trip to both WDW and Universal, so I'm not really sure whether to add extra day to Disney part or Orlando.
Furthermore, I'm going during low/regular season and I have Unlimited EP.

Yes, that's the one.

i see, you bought from UO and it is the p2p with unlimited express.
you can upgrade it to add another day by paying the additional costs.

with cabana bay, you get the early entry.
you can only use the 2 day pass you bought on the days it has been issued for.
Dec 6 And 7.

you will need to buy a ticket for the 5th to get into the parks.
same for the 8th

or you can upgrade and add the other 2 days.

do the math and see how it hits you financially.
if you do not plan to check into the hotel early morning to take advantage of the EE, do the park and use the single rider lines.

use the pass the next two days and do all the rides over and over.

on the 4th day, if you will be there the entire day upgrade your pass.

if you will only be there at the parks for a partial day, do the EE and use the srl.

the parks should not be that crowded the first week of decemeber.
you will have 2 full days of unlimited ep.
you will be able to get everything done in your stay onsite.

Thank you for your input :) I think I'll just upgrade my ticket now to 3-day ticket.
I've spent most of my time planning for WDW part because I needed to decide for my ADR. But after reading up on Universal, I think between WWOHP, holiday offerings and re-riding some attractions, I can spend at least 2.5 days there.

Why don't you do one night in a deluxe Universal Hotel and get Front of the Line pass free for two days? It would should save you money depending how many in your party.

It sounds like they already have the tickets + Express Passes in hand. So, at this point, that wound not help. But it might for future trips.

Is it too late to change reservations and tickets? I don't deal with Universal too often so I am not sure.

Call and ask them
UO is flexible to make changes if your booking is 6 days out from

I'm going solo and after doing the calculation, I can save $2.82 with split stay :D
But, if I'm going with my family, I will definitely go for RPR.
