I’ve read posts from guests who got the warning but just clicked through it and were able to order anyway. I can’t remember whether they were actually at the resort at the time or not, though.

Interesting. My friend was blocked because she was at Pop…we wanted to each do our own but I had to do both.

Will be interesting to see if it works!

Same thing here. Had a friend visit while I was at BLT last summer. I had to mobile order his lunch on my phone/MDE account as his was blocked from Contempo Cafe. Again, this was a one-time experience. I have no idea how pervasive this is.

It doesn’t look like it is set up to block right anyone right now. I can order from home here in NY.

When I was at BLT, it was labor day weekend. I believe that they only turn on that restriction for periods of high use. I do remember some pop-up on my friend's phone that said something like, "at the moment...," which suggested it wasn't always there.

Its definitely turned on and off. If they have already said that the dining place at PVB tower is only for guests of Poly then my guess is it will be turned on for that.

Oh, that makes sense. We have AP and were blocked out Thanksgiving week. We decided to tour the gingerbread houses, and ended up eating at Contempo Cafe, that was the day it wouldn’t let me mobil order. They must have turned it off to give the hotel/DVC guests the priority.

Yeah, I totally understand and respect the need to sometimes restrict mobile ordering for resorts guests. Do not begrudge them a bit.

I was hoping for musubi and there it is. Even thought it's fancy musubi and $12. We'll see how it compares to the gas station $3 musubis in Hawaii because those are delicious.

One thing I noticed this morning is Island Tower is extremely visible… from the “MK”/TTC parking lot. I still think it’s not imposing on most of the Poly grounds or detracting from the experience of the original / longhouse area. But it’s noticeable to day guests parking for MK and may get them curious as to what that tower is.

None of the resorts have restrictions for visiting for the holidays other than for parking.

The restrictions for mobile order has been restricted to resort guests at GF as welll…was in place for my December trip last year. I have experienced it at RIv too.

No idea if it was in place during Thanksgiving. We will see next week when I am there for a night.

I think GF may use Quick Service less frequently. GF tends to market more to couples, than families. Poly and Contemporary/BLT are bigger family spots. And maybe couples at GF tend to use table service more than quick service. So maybe there's not the same crush on Gasparilla. I can think of a lot of times I've waited in fairly long lines at Contempo and Cap Cook's. But I can't think of a single time I was in Gasparilla where there was more than a two or three groups ahead of me. Disclaimer: I tend to avoid GF during December--so maybe Gasparilla is crushed then. But still, I think there's less demand on Gasparilla than on other monorail loop QSs. Maybe add in that GF has about 200 fewer rooms than BLT/Contemporary combined, which also lessens demand..

GF quick serve recently changed their procedures and it’s a bit of chaos in their right now. If you are not doing Mobil order you have to go to individual lines for hot food, coffee, etc. Then you all merge into the line to pay. It’s causing the checkout to take 15-20 minutes in some cases. I was there a couple weeks ago and it didn’t take long to check out, but we had to wait on waffles and it caused the coffee line and the hot food lines to get tangled up honestly, I’ll just walk over to Island Tower when I’m there.

And I was fine with it because we stay there understanding that it will be busy.

I personally don’t think many of the visitors who come to see the gingerbread house do QS…but it certainly shows Disney does its best to help with the crowds.

I would imagine that once the restaurant has been open for a bit the mobile ordering restrictions will ease. It’s a smart move going into holiday travel and opening to have them in place though. Letting the kitchen get their crew synced up and working together for a bit before completely slamming them is just plan good sense.

I was told today Poly was in a “phase 2” parking closure for “an event.” Wonder if there’s some kind of pre-opening for the Tower?
