PVB Tower Charts, Sales Date and more!!!

A little off topic for the thread, but FWIW, Disney announced general public and AP discounts for early 2025 cash bookings today. Of note, in the Tower only the 2 BR Penthouse is excluded. I didn't spot check availability enough to get a sense of how abundant they are (my guess is it may be slim pickings), but for anyone looking to do a test cash stay early next year, might be worth checking.

Offer details are in the links...

I wanted so badly for this to be my blue card opportunity, but the stars aren’t aligning.

I’m feeling the same. The MB is nice, we won’t be using 2024 points likely anyways so bringing it down to $195, but I was hoping for a bit lower. We’ll see. We’re at Disney and on a cruise later this month, maybe another Visa discount or something else will happen for this. Good luck!

This is so anti climatic. I was looking forward to an add on thinking discounts on 200 points would be 200/pt. With a December use year on top of it I am really disappointed with this and will now have to wait until what December reveals and hope it's better. I really don't think they will be because then they upset everyone who just purchased.

Ugh I really hate the distribution of rooms =/ how disappointing. I still want a monorail resort and still do want to stay at Poly but I really need to weigh direct vs. resale again and if I should be considering a different resort 🤔🤔

Resale BLT? Resale CCV? Direct/resale Poly? Reflections? Ugh back to square one

I’m pretty pleased with $10 per point at the 150 level. I was expecting less tbh and had already decided on buying at $225. So it’s a nice bonus for me.
Call me a sucker, but I had already convinced myself that if I can get my Blue card here for under $30k we would just go ahead and do it. This just barely meets that criteria, but isn’t enough to stop me.

Has anyone received confirmation from their guide that they are offering Magical beginnings on the 2024 points?
I received the pricing sheets this morning but there is no mention of that.
It says they’re still available on the updated offers page of the DVC website

Just got off the phone with my guide and confirmed there are no magical beginnings for the new incentives.

Just bought 426 PIT points! Fixed week #50 in a 1 bedroom theme park view!

Didn't they just recently artificially drop the Polyneisan base point from $250 When it was just the longhouses?

So in reality the discount is actually a little higher.

I still wouldn't touch it with a 10 foot pole for a contract that's not the full length, has absurdly high point charts. Has numerous rooms - bungalows and penthouses - that most will never touch. Has lower priced larger rooms that aren't going to be attainable even at 11 months.

I'd need something like the recent OKW incentives to get me to jump back in.

I honestly feel like DVC has turned the corner to an ordinary timeshare recently. Their primary goal now seems to be maximizing the rooms they will be able to sell for cash when they aren't booked, hoping to figure out ways for owners to not spend their points.

Well, for 150 points the incentives are:

$10 /pt - PVB
$18 /pt - RR
$21 /pt - VDH
$23 /pt - Aulani
$27 /pt - CFW

I think I will be ok without PVB for now.

If it matched the CFW or Aulani incentives, that would be different. lol

For me it’s not even the incentives but the distribution again. They had an opportunity to even out the balance between studios and 1/2brs and decided to add more studios.

Idk this is tough because I like eveything else about the resort like theming and location but I’m going to have to track 11 month availability for 2BRs.

My guide sent me the paperwork, but before I call can anyone confirm there is not a welcome home credit? I assume if its not listed out here the answer is no, but maybe this is just to show the developer credit scenarios?

Taking a second look, maybe I could flip my resale 110 for the direct 100-150 (I already have the blue card though, so the 150 is not a real goal for us now)
