PVB Tower Charts, Sales Date and more!!!

So if I am going to get a 150 point contract, and fees are $7.9263 per year, that would be $1189 per year, or $3.25 per day. I save $3.25 every day that I wait. Thanks.
Of course, you have to balance any savings vs any per point price increases that will happen along the way.

This is fair, we know the PPP will increase by 10 in February but will not know what incentives will look like at that point. Or even the next round of incentives if you are looking to buy in before August.

Thank you @pkrieger2287 for raising awareness on how terrible the Poly resort music is at Christmas, in the stream last night.

Resort music year-round at the Poly might be its worst feature honestly 😬
I feel like they are just trying to hard... We just need some instrumental Ukelele holiday musical. Simple and effective. I did hear that the ukelele player is going to become a permanent addition to the resort in the lobby!

Met some of the DVCshow in one of the gardens/terraces. Sorry @pkrieger2287, heard you are back home being a good father to your furry children.

Saw @Tikiman at Wailulu but didn’t want to interrupt his conversation.

We like Wailulu (at the time for 2 people we had to go to the bar walk up). Met two nice couples both originally from Jersey. We lined their food. (Yes, I had the musubi and liked it). DW is not a spam eater. We had both the crème brulee and the dole whip subdue for dessert. Delicious.

For us, far left view is BTMRR (over GF), castle is over the wedding chapel, can see train station, great view of Tomorrowland, BLT, Contemporary (even the outdoor Christmas tree, possibly top of WL, etc.

Listening to the ambience of resort music. MK train. Castle show fireworks. Ferry, resort boats. Watching the boats, monorails.
Apparently, the dogs can't feed themselves, and I had a lot of video to edit. Sorry I missed you!

Yes!!!! (to all your comments)

Great, informative, and fun stream last night. Just upgraded our August stay from a Resort to a TPV 🤗

Lol, I’ve been ‘commenting’ about the holiday soundtrack over on the resort board for years, it’s pretty rough, in my humble opinion. And now all you Tower lagoon facing folks get to experience what those who have stayed in the Hawaii longhouse have been living with - 8am that background loop cranks up non stop all day at a pretty loud volume level.

One year after a few Mai Tais I thought it would be a good idea to send that feedback to the link they send you after check in, and to my horror a duty manager actually called me. 😬 Felt bad about that one actually.

I’m glad you did! 🤣
Beach Club sounds like Phil Keaggy, VGF whimsical and classic, but Poly is kitschy bordering on offensive.

What specifically prompted the upgrade?
Two things:
  1. The construction and sun patterns on that side of the tower.
  2. We’ll have a newborn, a toddler, and two elementary aged kids — no chance we’re staying out for fireworks, night parade, etc. Need to enjoy the fireworks and EWP from our room rather than common areas. I have fond memories of my oldest kids falling to asleep to the EWP on the lake view longhouse patio chairs 🤗

I wish it weren’t so accurate. I’m also glad they’re willing to share balanced perspectives.
I really enjoy their shows. Problem is I was thinking about buying last year when it came out but then came to my senses. Now after seeing these, I’m thinking again. Looked at my 401k yesterday, over 14% rate of return for the year. I did that 5 years ago and ended up with VGC points.

Does anyone else have standard view photos or videos of the rooms? I am still debating on booking here but don’t want to spend extra on the view. I’m hoping there are some standard rooms with decent views (especially studios).

Hopefully this link will work. Here is our room from opening day. We were excited to not have a wall on the left side of the balcony so we had a good view of the monorail without having to lean out to see it coming from the left. Absolutely loved our stay and the new resort. We're going back next week for one night in a Duo Studio standard view.

Definitely better than the 2nd floor. How would you compare this to the standard studio in the original Polynesian? Which one do you prefer?

Definitely love the Tower over the longhouses but our biggest preference is that we like a "hotel" experience with amenities inside the building. We stayed in a longhouse over the summer when there were some downpours and we said never again because we hated that we had to go outside to get some food (but did stay there again a week ago because that's all that was available short notice :D). The 2nd shower in the longhouse doesn't hold any sway because there are only 2 of us and we're never in the kind of hurry where we need to shower simultaneously (ETA - but it does help that one of us can use the toilet while the other is showering). In the new Tower, I did LOVE having the toilet located behind its OWN door. If we ever have a bathroom emergency, we'd feel ok if one of us had to intrude on the others shower and use the "separate" toilet area because my DH and I are close but not that close LOL. We're ok with the standard views at both the longhouses and the Tower so that's a wash. All that said, we're happy enough with the longhouse rooms themselves - just not their location.

We've stayed in all of the DVC studios at WDW and the Poly Tower studio room is our absolute favorite.

Toilets behind doors are a wonderful thing.
