Putting Hoppers on room keys?

Just a quick question. If we wait until we get to WDW to buy our tickets (4 Day Hoppers), can we have them put on our room key so we only have to carry one thing? We've never done it that way before, since we usuallly have APs, so I wasn't sure. Thanks!

Yes, if you buy your tickets at your resort when you check in, they'll automatically be on your room keys. You can apply a DC discount at this time if you have one.

What happens if you don't use all of your days. Do they transfer the remaining days onto another ticket as opposed to your room key?

No, you just keep the room key. After you check out it effectively becomes just a hopper pass.

Incidentally, consider buying a 5-day hopper even if you don't plan to use it all on this visit. A 4-day hopper costs exactly 4 times a single day admission. The extra price for a 5-day hopper (plain, not plus) is roughly half of a single day admission!
