Putting child on Signature AP rest on Deluxe

To contradict most of the posters on this thread, we have done this with no problems.

You've been pretty lucky. We've always had to show ID and it gets compared to our ID. When my AP was acting up, and we were trying to speed up getting hot food to the table at Rancho, they wouldn't let us process the discount on my granddaughter's pass and had to wait til the manager came forward and override.

Even when my granddaughter wanted to feel big (she was 4-5) and would hand them her AP when buying things, they would smile then tell me "We still need to run your AP."

I have never tried to use my child's AP for a discount, but I have given them cash and their APs to pay for things and they've never been asked for ID. I think they realize they're kids. We've been AP holders on and off for the last decade (I want to say 6-7 years total) and are current passholders, so this hasn't been a one time, got lucky situation.

ETA: I have always been asked for ID when purchasing something.

I show my ID, say, "it's her pass," pointing to her, and they say, "oh that's fine, as long as the last name matches you're good." I have been told that more times than I can count.

Obviously it can happen differently, and as I said, I'm prepared to just pull out my Deluxe pass and run that one if anyone ever has an issue with it, but we're honestly talking 100+ transactions without incident. I'm simply sharing my experience.
