Putting away the decorations

I feel the same this year. With an 11 week old and a 2.5 year old and all of their bits my downstairs just feels overly cluttered this year.

However this year I've ordered some new storage bags for my tree and decs so can't do much until they turn up. Fingers crossed its soon.

I'd take 'em down today too, but OH won't let me!!!! And he's the one tall enough to put them back in the loft!!!!!

I will probably take the tree down on 1st Jan as I always feel like de-cluttering in January and starting afresh.

I also take mine down on the 1st, I just want the house back to normal..New Year tidy house... at the moment apart from all the decorations our house looks like toys r us as we've had the 3 grandkids here since xmas eve and all their presents from everyone are every where!

Well ours all come down yesterday..... all packed up and away in the garage and the loft :goodvibes:goodvibes

Funny how I look forward to getting them all out and then look equally forward to putting them all away :rotfl2: The downstairs does look all nice and clean now and so much brighter without a 6 foot tree totally covered in Disney ornaments blocking all the light coming through the patio doors :lmao::lmao::lmao:

I took mine down needed more room for all the toys my babies got plus room for them to play with them :).

I took ours down yesterday too as we also need the space for new years day party with the family. It seems like only yesterday I was putting it up though, it's gone so quickly! Was a bit sad thinking it was all over for another year, but am looking forward to some holiday planning ready for the summer! :goodvibes

I'm exactly like this - the second December arrives, I am SO excited to get everything out and I look forward to Christmas. But once Boxing Day has gone for me, I just feel like the house is cluttered. It's not just the tree, I like thinking about what I am going to do with the leftovers etc, like a tin of chocolates will be taken into work, I like finding homes for the new Christmas presents.

Mine came down on Saturday in the end. As others have said I was so excited for them to go up but equally excited to get my usual furnishings back into their normal places. It looks bare but I like it lol.

All ready for a fresh New Year now!

Happy New Year everyone :)

I got my storage bags from Studio cards or is it Ace 24 can never remember, think they are both the same, sorry to jump in :)

My decs are still up, neither DH or me have been well enough to do it, just getting out of bed today was no easy task :( Will hopefully take them down at the weekend, need to get back to normality again - if you can call our house normal :rotfl:

Ours came down first thing yesterday morning along with some huge cobwebs (embarrassed) our cat normally hunts spiders he must be on strike or something! It's nice to get the home back to normal again;)
