Put Yourself in my Shoes

I think you have alot of info here, so Ill just give my opinion on one item-home resort. If always booking at short notice it makes no difference where your home resort is, you dont even have to worry about what you want to be near, etc etc because you wont be getting any priority booking priviledges by booking late, but I personally would not buy OKW or SSR in your situation.

These are the 2 largest resorts and therefore probably the easiest to get last minute reservations at, therefore you may be spending alot of time them. So if thats the case if you make another resort your home resort you will have opportunities to plan ahead for stays there. Im sure you will have opportunties to stay in resorts other than SSR or OKW but this guarentees it.

cruise number one was not true..........because i booked BCV two fridays ago on one day notice...........

If you're talking about 1/22 you probably got my room!! That's when the Northeast and midwest were snowed in, so no one made it out or to WDW!! Take it from me, we cancelled via the BC front desk! Just my guess, but I might be wrong. :confused3 :cold: :cold:

3. If you buy from Disney, you cannot use your points until your building opens (but you can book your vacation now for any date after that). Disney also has easy financing or you could pay with Visa. Closing is less of a hassle and no ROFR. With resale, you will need to pay with certified funds.

Yes this is true, but I just bought (2 weeks ago) got a September UY and was able to advance my points to go in May 05 (I was able to go any time after March 22, 2005). Everyone told me that this could not be done, but in the contract it says you can advance your points. If you have any questions you should call Quality Assurance at 800-782-6767.
