Put tours on MDE itinerary?

Is there a way to use my tour confirmation number (e.g. for the Wild Africa trek) to get the tour to show up in my MDE itinerary? The Disney guy on the phone said to enter it under "Notes", but when I asked him where to find "Notes", he admitted that he had no idea, lol.
 
You can't get it to show up using the confirmation number. You can add it as a note on the date.

On your itinerary page on the MDE website, click on "add plans" near the top left. then click "add a note".
 

This is one of those 'makes me a little bit crazy' things... first that you can't book tours on-line, but even more that the tour doesn't post to MDE after it's been booked. Seems like a fairly straight forward thing to code.

This annoys me too, especially since I pretty much had to walk the CM through how to book my tour for me :rolleyes:

I would find that alarming, that a CM on the special phone line for tours did not know how to book it! I plan to call before I go to reconfirm my tour that I booked, and I didn't have that problem in the first place!

Well, I went through the CL IPO, so that might have had something to do with it, but you'd think they'd be used to booking tours for guests all the time, no? I was surprised!

I will definitely be confirming my tour before I go!
 
We're doing the Steam Train Tour. I added a Note with Confirmation # and time also. And I think it's pretty sad that you can't add tours nor do they send Confirmation emails.
 
I haven't tried it yet but I booked the keys to the kingdom tour this am. The cm on the phone gave me a confirmation number and told me I can link it on my MDE. Is this not right? I'm not home at the moment to get the confirmation to try it.
 
I just booked the Keys to the Kingdom tour today for our September trip, and I have to admit, it was a little unnerving to not have a confirmation email of any kind, but I feel better knowing that it wasn't just me and that's how they handle things. I added my confirmation #, date and time to the MDE app as a note like the CM suggested, so I guess we're good to go. This will be a Disney first for us, so I'm really excited!

CM was wrong. You cannot link a tour to MDE. And you won't get a confirmation email of the tour, either.
 
Okay. But as far as I know, you do not get a confirmation email for tours like Keys to the Kingdom or Wanyama Safari.
I don't think we've ever received an email confirmation for any of the tours we've done. We got a confirmation number on the phone when we booked.
 
I totally agree ... so annoying that the tours don't show on MDE. Just a note (which you probably already know, but it might help someone in the future) since you booked through CL IPO and are staying concierge ... the tours and experience booking will be visible on the itinerary they send you. I always keep mine in my offline email to refer to in case there are internet issues and I need to refer to a booking number, time etc. You can also ask them to resend this report anytime by dropping them a quick email.
